Should be a great game; like last year vs. the smartest QB in the league over the past decade +, Seattle's up against the smartest coach in the league over an even longer time frame, this year.

Will be interesting to see what Belichek has for the fantastic Seattle defense, and how that defense makes adjustments. Like most games, if the defense can get to Brady and force Brady into quicker decisions, the athletic and hard hitting LB's and secondary will get their chance at making big plays.

If Brady has a decent day, like Rodgers last week, it will be up to Wilson to step up his play and get rolling early to match. Lynch will do what he does, but Wilson needs to move the ball early and get into the game with his feet as opposed to waiting too long. The Pats aren't going to let the foot off the gas as GB did, and Wilson, like last year, has had the defense hold the team in games long enough to have him get going.

Seattle's very good at making halftime adjustments ever since Carroll has gotten there; going against Belichek, you'd expect both to do so, but Seattle has to keep it close even if struggling at halftime.

Anyways, always fun to see the best two teams in the league square off. Go 'Hawks.

The Patriots aren't relying on Brady like they were with the one dimensional 2011 Pats- Brady needs to be good, but not spectacular. The key for the Pats today will be running the ball with Gronkowski making plays and drawing attention away from other receivers. The defense for the Pats will have to make plays, and I think Jamie Collins is one guy that will be key to the Pats ability to disrupt the read option.

OK...we get it. You're flamboyant and completely off the cuff...but why dress like that on a Superbowl telecast? I HIGHLY doubt he dresses like that in his real life off the ice...so why do it cause he is on TV?

Anyhow....the absurdity of what Superbowl has become is in full flight today.

The Pre-game will be on approximately twice as long as the game itself.
Your second paragraph could describe Don Cherry pretty good too heh.

Does it really matter what he is wearing?

Actually Johnny dresses pretty wild day-to-day.

Yeah i would say it does in some instances. There is an inherent level of professionalism that comes with said employment. I have no issue with what anyone wears in their daily lives as it really is none of my or anyone elses concern....but when you are broadcasting the single biggest tv show of the year, i would expect some degree of decorum. He isn't on the ice in a costume anymore.

If he dresses like this daily as MRC suggests, then i stand corrected on my earlier assumption, but its still not appropriate for what they are doing today IMO. In the end, no its not a big deal i suppose as no one is forced to watch it.

Also if anyone knows...are Tara Lipinski and JW in business together? I never see one without the other anymore, but then again i only ever see them when they are doing these sort of large events. I think the last one was Breeders Cup where again he was wearing some pretty outrageous looking stuff but it blended in a bit better as all the women and some of the men make that event a bit of a fashion show as well.

Im going to guess that the general public reaction to the Weir segments will be mostly negative- I personally don't understand why people get worked up about such things. I think there has been enough football and deflated football talk over the last couple weeks to make room for something a little quirky. Mind you, anyone that has been watching the pre-game footage (this shamefully includes me) since 9am are the really crazy ones.

Good for you; can't do that myself even with my favourite team in it...may start tuning in now with an hour or so to go, but saw that the pregame started at 11am (ESPN) click through and they were doing a Stu Scott bit.

There's nothing new that I'm going to learn or not going to know/care about when it comes to the game, the Seahawks (no matter how obscure), or, likely the Pats either, 3h+ before kickoff.
