Wolf has an awkward skating style but seems to keep up with the play. He is a big body out there for sure. Nice to see him get a shot at the NHL.

Also thanks To Engelland for not being Kevin Westgarth with Gadzic.

Oilers look pretty decent tonight.

Embarrassing performance so far against the worst team in the world. This is unacceptable Hartley better tear into these guys. Playing passive hockey against this garbage team.

I agree. You have to wonder when they play teams like Minny and the Oil, if maybe they subconsciously think it's going be an easy win.

This is looking way too much like the Minnesota game.

Can't stand it so frustrating.

And it had to be the Oilers.

My take on this is more towards Hudler's hockey IQ is on the same planar level as Gaudreaus whereas other wingers may not read his plays as well. Gaudreau looking lost isn't exactly what I am seeing out there. Other's are not registering where they need to go when Johnny has the puck.

I thought the Flames were better in the second than the first, and even in the first, not worse than the Oilers. The Oilers have scored in 2 or their maybe 4 chances.

I'm not getting the "Johnny looks lost" sentiment. I think he has been the best Flame so far.

I said to the wife earlier that a few of the forward vets are consistently outplayed by the youngsters. The fact we have some good youth waiting in the wings makes it even more frustrating.

Patience I guess. Being in the playoff picture makes it easy to forget we still have a ways to go with the rebuild, and we don't want to stray!

not going to count on the third period being better we are playing brutal, we don't deserve to win although neither do the oilers...

Really impressed by how Wolf's improved his skating since the last time I saw him. He's come a long way in a short time. Sounds like he has a good German work ethic. Definitely a good attribute that the coaching staff has noticed.

Not sure the accuracy of the statement, but that's what was said during the broadcast.

It's a sign of a rebuilding team when we miss someone like Hudler so much. What else really are we? We signed him for a reason and he is probably the most important signing on this team on and off the ice. Let's keep this kind of stuff going on and off the ice.

Imo he does not look completely lost.. He is holding the puck much longer than he normally would tho.

Johnny and Hudler worked really well together and I think he misses getting those passes that Jiri would often give him for goals. Now that's not to say Johnny isn't working hard and trying to create chances.
