He's proven in the last 8 games that he can produce if he's given a top-6 role. I hope he's given the same opportunity next season.

Looking back 2 years ago it sounds like he was superman. I really hope he gets his chance.

For anyone not in the Back Burner Forum, Sven Baertschi recorded a hat trick tonight in the Baby Flames 10-0 victory over Syracuse (the #1 team in the Eastern Conference and #2 team in the AHL overall).

Baertschi's goals start at about 2:30, but the whole thing is really worth a watch. Lots of great plays by Baertschi, Granlund, McGrattan, Agostino, Shore, Reinhart and Elson.

I like the token highlights they had to add for Syracuse even though they were all easy saves.

Oh yea. There are no babyfaced facial hair growing issues with him at all. He's had a good beard for most of the season.

Syracuse could have played with no goalie and still surrendered fewer goals.

Amazing to see our boys #### all over them, but what the hell happened to Syracuse?
