I don't like Byron on the top line, Johnny and Monahan are all about picking their spots and being patience until the right opportunity open ups. Byron with his cold streak isn't going to have that patience and isn't going to contribute to that line. Move Jones up, hes a better fit at this point in time.

Noticed a couple times that Jones came on and Byron left early once we had the puck in Oiler zone. Hartley probably likes Byron on that line in our own zone and transitioning but Jones on the cycle once in the zone.

Too bad Hudler's out but given the way we are playing he probably wouldn't have made a difference.

Bad period by the Flames

Well, it's not even two years into the rebuild...They should be getting more talent in the next few years. The Flames will have to pull off more Gaudreau/Brodie type picks though as they probably won't have any very high picks.

I agree with the other posters that we are missing Glencross and Hudler tonight. We need both of those guys back pronto!

I think it is noticeable that we are lacking some veteran leadership in the last few games. I don't think we should trade Glencross. I think he brings scoring and a physical game that isn't easy to replace.

I wouldn't mind seeing Jones moved to the JG and Monahan line.

Hudler, yes. Absolutely.

Glencross I haven't missed once in his entire absence. Hopefully seeing this roster without him has solidified his exit.

I like Wolf. He has a good attitude. Even when he was in Addy he would always be positive.

Thi team isnt real good right now and havent been for a while now. Nothing unexpected mind you, just the reality of the roster they have at this point in regards to so much youth.
They're 5-2 in their last 7. Do they need to be 7-0 for you to think they have been playing well?

We haven't scored in 4 periods. We're starting to miss him.

In theory, sure. He can score goals.

But I expect Glencross to disappear more often than I count on him to come through when we need him. He scores when we're scoring, and is the first to disappear when the droughts occur.

I'd be willing to bet we'd be in just the same position these past 4 periods with him in.
