Just don't have that killer instinct yet but the team's young. San Jose is killing the Ducks so move further away and it's over to the Kings now to see if they can take advantage of this opportunity.
Hasn't Monahan already scored more than Byron ever will? Including overtime winners?
Invalid argument
If it's going to come to Paul Byron to win games for the Flames then they really are in trouble as he's a bottom 6 forward. Your best players have to be your best players or you aren't going to win in the NHL. Monahan is a 6th overall pick that is expected to make that play and he didn't so you can't blame Byron without spreading it around.

Someone should keep track of how many points the team as a whole has lost because of Byron's failed break aways. How many games would have been sent to overtime for at least 1 extra point?
Monahan has single handedly brought this team many points. Byron, not so much.
Hypothetical stats concerning that would be entirely speculative.

I feel for Byron. Love how he plays and how he uses his speed. As frustrating it is that he hasn't scored on these chances... He deserves to stay on the team by how he's able to create those chances. The law of averages has to catch up to him and let him pot a few of these chances... Doesn't it?! There are very few players in the NHL that average as many breakaways per game as Byron. As long as those chances keep coming, I want him to stay with the team.

This Monahan-Byron thing is ultra weird. People are uspet at Byron because it's been happening time and time again. If Monahan was whiffing on chances every game people would be on him too. Monahan has 15 goals, just had 4 goals in 4 games, so you give that guy some room to breath.
Good effort by the Flames but the Wild fought hard and Dubnyk stood on his head. Certainly not the end of the world.
I was watching Raymond closely in the third period and I have no idea what he was doing out there. No effort and his positional play is horrible. Would much rather see Granlund or Ferland in the lineup.
No kidding. I think Hartley has a crush on Raymond

oh god, Byron didn't cost the team the game...Mony putting the puck in the open net would have also gained the team a point
besides, two totally different players with different contracts and different expectations
Lol. Sven would never get on that breakaway. Byron brings energy for the 4th line. I can't see Sven bringing much to the 4th line.
I think some fans think that Byron is being handed all these breakaways. Newsflash he's getting the breakaways because of his speed and knack of knowing when to pinch that few players on the roster can do. It's not like if you sit Byron the next guy will step in and get lots of breakaways. Has Sven even had a breakaway in the NHL?

Yes and our good players will have off nights and that's when players like Byron need to step up instead of missing on his 30th breakaway of the season. Joe Colborne was the 16th overall pick so he is expected to be more of a impact player than Gaudreau? Draft rankings should have no bearing on who should have a good game or not.

1st line center
3rd or 4th line winger
Nobody is actually blaming Mony for anything...just saying how stupid it is to blame a 3rd liner for not scoring on a break away
