Your advertising profile has probably changed to include more companies that pay the higher CPM for unskippable ads.
As a content creator on YouTube hate AD block programs.

And creators won't post there because they won't make money.

As a viewer on youtube, I hate Mike Chang Ab commercials.
I can understand a blue ribbon channel like College Humour, with actual production value playing this game. But a12 second clip called "Ep1c Merri-go-round fail1!1!1!!1!1" is just gonna get closed before I watch a 4 minute Chevy ad for a car I would never buy in million years.

I never get ads in Vimeo, and the production quality there, destroys anything youtube has to offer.

Apples and oranges, never seen a chan video that wasn't skippable. And all non-skippable adds are 30 seconds and are the same as you would see on your TV mostly Scotia Bank, your arguments are straw man arguments.

Vimeo is great if you want to see corporate videos, as a creator why would I post there if I have no opportunity to make money? YouTube is king for a reason and the road is littered with Vimeo like competition that failed.

... My head hurts at the ridiculous arguments you put forth ... Suck it up and watch the 30 second video ... Or go enjoy Vimeo and miss out on great YouTube content.

Which browser are you using? I've never had YouTube ads of any kind show up on my Mac with AdBlock on.

The more popular youtube channels make a living on ad revenue so I usually don't mind as long as it's a channel I'm subscribed to.

How is that a ridiculous comment. I have posted plenty of videos on youtube, and never wanted for one second to make money off of it. Not everyone thinks they are the next Martin Scorcese waiting to be discovered by remixing or re-uploading someone else's content, which 80% of youtube is. Firstly unless your hits are in the millions, there is nothing worthwhile to be made. Secondly, youtube was originally founded under the premise it was to be an ad free platform. It wasn't until google bought it, they added the ads.
On original content, If your video sucks, I don't want to watch or click the ad, because the creator does not deserve revenue for garbage content. Not everything is worth something. 8 year old kids screaming noises and making faces is not worth the .0001 of a cent the click through is worth. It would be the equivalent of me standing on a street corner shrieking gibberish at the top of my lungs, expecting passers by to flick me a nickel.
Since you are such a youtube pro though, I would love a link to your channel so we can see your incredibly valuable content, and judge for ourselves if it is worthy of being monetized. It isn't for you to determine what it's worth, it's your audience that makes that determination.

Nevermind, found your channel, and your most viewed item has around 1500 views, and ironically it is a parody commercial using someones else (Lucasarts content and Androids Logo) Let me ask, what do you think this should be worth to you? Also, how much should I be paying to watch you play a video game and talk about it?:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWLxS1jOLIo&spfreload=1
The remainder of your videos have between 3 and 400 +/- views, and if you had a clickthrough on every single view on every single video including your little Stars Wars whatever it is... what would you have made? $10? Maybe $12.
If you have a low subscription base, and next to no views for your content, wouldn't it make sense to turn the ads off, and grow your subscribers until you start getting real hits? Because most people, will click out, the second the video starts loading.

Everything about what you have said up to this posted arguing me has been either misrepresenting. Implying Chan videos are skippable or nin-skipable adds are 4 mins and then a hyperbolic statement.
And even what you just said everyone thinks they are Martin Scorcese is hyperbolic. I don't know who you watch on YouTube but the channels I view are more humble then that.
As for if you don't want to give them 0.0001, give it a rest I'd you don't like there content move on.
Trying to say just because I think everything you are saying here sounds like a selfish whining behaviour also doesn't mean I think doesn't mean I am a YouTube pro, or any slant you want to make against my content. I have a fun hobby, in a small corner of YouTube and enjoy what I do. Is it worth a lot, no but I spend my time and effort to creator the video so why should YouTube or Vimeo make all the money? And why should YouTube not make money in serving you the content through adds?
You live in a time where add support add content or cheap streaming services allow you to cut the cord. Why do you feel entitled to the point that even those adds have to be removed?

Ads on YouTube are an easy fix, I haven't seen them in years.
Install the Ad Block Plus plugin in your browser, done!
I do this on every computer that I help fix, helps prevent people from accidentally (purposely?) clicking on pop up ads and installing malware/spyware.
