Would really like to see baertschi take Raymond's spot for a game. He's been on a roll and has earned this call up. But I think the flames will get healthy before he gets a shot.

That's what I'm thinking as well.

I agree with these tweets:

I think Raymond has started to turn the corner. He's skating and competing. Needs to start producing some points to get confidence back...

...and needs to get his confidence back to start producing points. I think both are on the verge of happening for Raymond. #Flames

What have Bollig and Englland done to stay in the line up?

Do you have a connection to Baertschi or something or do you just really like him? Genuinely curious.

Pretty hard for Hartley to say "Well, Mase, that was your best game since coming back, but you are sitting, because Sven played well in the AHL."

And on Bollig - I was his biggest detractor when he was playing early in the season, but his defensive play has tightened up (I credit Stajan). He was pretty good last night.

I'll sit Raymond and Bollig first before I sit Byron. Sven to replace Raymond and Wolf to replace Bollig. See how it goes and if they click, the Flames don't have to rush Glencross back. Once Glencross comes back from the IR, one of Sven or Wolf will have to go back to Adirondack. Too bad Flames cannot send Raymond to AHL as he's been terrible since he came back from the injury. I guess my instincts was right in the off-season when they were talking about signing Mason Raymond. I never thought he is a top 6 forward before and still don't think he is a Top 6 right now. I wasn't too thrilled about his contract either. Hopefully he proved me wrong soon.

Raymond looks to be finding his game again. I'd just sit Byron for one game, just so he can come back ready to go against the Oilers.

Are you calling Hartley a Height Supremicist?

On another note, really hoping to see Sven and The Wolf get in, both are RFA at the end of this year. I still believe Sven will be top 6, and I want to see the Wolf man to have a look at what he could project to be

Is Wolf not a UFA after this year? No CBA expert but since he was not a draft pick I thought those rules omitted him from standard FA rules.

Wolf would be RFA, as he would be 26 years old next year.

You don't become an UFA until you have 7 years pro experience or are 27 years old

Since he is RFA I'm more than okay with them taking their time with Wolf. Although he could go to Europe but then his RFA rights would still be with the Flames until he turns 27.
