List of Mayor dudes and website links here

Check out Doug Service here...

I'm voting for that guy. It's kind of a funny website (you can make him dance) and also he plans on building a Hydrogen Fueled Jet Engine Turbine Generator. I'm unfamiliar with what that is exactly, but it sounds pretty cool. I know Edmonton wouldn't have one and we all know that that's pretty much all that counts due to our jealousy situation and living with it and the envy.

There's a guy in Ward 14 who actually suggests a city recycling project, so I'll vote for him (his name is Pincott). Apparently Calgary is the only major city in NA without one.

South of the city, I'm an acclimation victim.

I'd vote for Darr.
Why? So Calgary can have the circus just like Lethbridge did? [/b][/quote]
Be something a bit more exciting. I don't know.

Bertuzzied, he was given a city that hadn't done anything in the past decade with Duer (very ironic name) at the helm. He may have paid a lot for the mayoral position, but you know what, he has done a pretty good job from what I have read.
We'll see how his tenure looks after the fact, and whether the big loans he's taken out to finance road projects look worthwhile. I'm skeptical, but I do appreciate that Crowchild is done between Kensington and Glenmore...I'd go nuts without those interchanges.

I doubt it cracks 20%. I enjoy politics and ALWAYS vote but didnt this year. I didnt even realize the vote was today I thought it was next Monday. The whole campaign was pretty pathetic.

Yup, I forgot it was today... although to forget I'd probably have to have known. Which I don't think I did, although I may have forgotten that too. Regardless I found out about it at 5:00pm while sitting at work, so I'm stuck here until mid-night..

I want to run for mayor in the next election. My platform is to connect every house, apartment, school, store, and any building in the city to the Plus 15s. That way, you never have to go outside.

goon that isn't a bad idea, with the requirements so low, CP should field a candidate, without a platform that doesn't involve hockey in some way or another, that sounds like great fun, and hell it is only $100 and 25 autographs to get it done.

To be honest, it crossed my mind this year..alderman (last time the alderman was accliamed...what kind of payoff $$ could you get from their camp not to run, saving them having to advertise?), but even for mayor, just to expereince something new...then I could have everyone I know vote for me, and the CP vote.
200 votes? Could happen.

I'll bite...my slogans....

browna: Why not?

browna:There are no WMD's in Calgary, and I'll do all in power to keep it that way....now watch this wrist shot.

Or, something Calgary Flames/Red Mile related, to sway the youth/undecided/jackass vote

Browna - In comparison to Pol Pot he isn't half bad!
Browna - If Martin Sheen could be president, why can't I be mayor.
Browna - Have you ever seen Deliverance?
Browna - Hey there are worse candidates, vote for me!

I heard Bronconnier won in a landslide.

I'm not sure what the turnout was in Calgary, but in Edmonton, I read it was around 42%
