Did he actually say that? Or is that just the media quipping on his behalf?

Interested signings.
Burton retired from football juts last April. I hope the guy is cleared and not coming back to football cause he has nothing else to fall back on. He has talent.
Hobbs was released by the TiCats and spent last year on the Arena circuit. Both are still quite young.

Was it based of Nik Lewis tweeting about his future?
Nik posted this later on in the day

Hold on hold on. I'm not saying I'm done in Calgary, I'm just grateful for everything that has happened thus far.

Who's left?
- Stanley Bryant (OL) - Likely going to the highest bidder
- Quincy Butler (DB) - Trial issues, likely not coming back
- Edwin Harrison (OL) - I think he's the backup plan if Bryant does leave
- Micah Johnson (DT) - Needs to get healthy, likely comes back
- Brett Jones (C) - Heenan has signed an NFL deal, Jones can't be far behind
- Shawn Lemon (DE) - Already signed by Steelers
- Nik Lewis (SB) - Likely done as a Stamp
- Keenan McDougall (LB/S) - I think he'll end up in Ottawa
- Brad Sinopli (WR) - Everyone assumes he's going to Ottawa but a gut feeling he ends up in Winnipeg.

I think Bryant, Johnson, Jones, McDougall and Sinopli will re-sign with the Stampeders. Butler and Lewis will be gone unfortunately and we all know Lemon signed with the Steelers. Harrison is the wildcard in this group. IF he stays in the CFL, I'll say he'll go to Ottawa where he will start every game.

Hope (for him) that he can stick down south -- quite the turnaround for a guy who was willing to give up football for med school two years ago.
Makes for an interesting offseason -- Stamps have the depth to fill those holes so I think they'll still have a very strong team this year.

Seems like the Giants for Jones.
http://calgaryherald.com/sports/foot...giants-sources
Hopefully Huff can tell him who to watch out for in the Giants organization, though given that Kevin Gilbride retired from the Giants last year, Jones doesn't have to worry about the same guy that appeared to get Huff fired as OC way back when.

CFL Free agency starts today at 10am MT.
Any guesses on what the Stamps do?
Hopefully we can resign Stanley Bryant since we already lost Brett Jones.
I am hoping we can sign Sam Hurl from Saskatchewan to help replace some of our Canadian depth.

^^Stamps usually arent big players in the UFA market. They like to draft or trade for needs.

Stanley Bryant signed with Winnipeg...that is a big blow. Looks like the Bombers may make a strong push to get to the Grey Cup this year as hosts!
