I think you are underestimating the play of the Seattle defense, but yes, that was the best worst game of all time. Great finish but man for three quarters it was painful....so many turnovers for both teams.

Think along the lines of those pesky 'low air in tire' warnings you often see in your car during the winter- the condition of the ball can change mid game under certain weather conditions.

People don't actually think that Brady runs onto the field with his selected ball and says "lets use this one"?? Honestly.

Hopefully its a closer Super Bowl that last years blowout.

I wonder how some of Seattles injuries will play a part in the Super Bowl (Sherman, Thomas). No doubt they'll play, just wonder how effective they will be at less that 100%.

Lets go Patriots!!!
A classy post Bar-Down. While we may hate each other's football teams, we are still all Flames fans here.

I try to remain optimistic at all times, but that last interception was a kick in the nuts. So glad I never turned away from the TV!

That said, Go Seahawks!

I think Seattle takes the Super Bowl. New England has gotten this far by being a good passing team, and beating teams with mediocre secondaries. Seattle's secondary is elite and shouldn't have too much problem shutting down the Pats' small WRs. Gronk is a bit of a wild card but I think Chancellor and Thomas are likely up to the task. The Baltimore game showed you can run on New England, and Seattle's run game is better than Baltimore's.

No ####. But but regardless of what the final result of the game was, cheating is cheating and they should be investigated. Colts would have lost that game no matter what.

But as soon as Cribbs' fumbled and Vinatieri missed the FG, you could just tell the whole team was deflated and didn't care anymore. It was a classic "happy to be there game" by the Colts

Sounds like Wilfork helped pull a woman out of an overturned SUV after the game

Apparently he helped deflate the airbag as well... hey oh!

Haha we're both Flames fans and we both hate Saskatchewan, so we're both on the same page for 2 out of the 3 sports leagues.

I wish the Superbowl was this weekend, don't wanna wait two weeks!

Ummm, pretty interesting tweet by the Seahawks yesterday on MLK day. I think it's mostly harmless, but not sure the adversity footballers see on the field is what MLK had in mind.

Don't think they are talking about adversity on the football field, or their game against the Pats.

I don't see any big deal in this. People twist leaders speaches and messages all the time to suit their needs. Ray Lewis was on sunday countdown quoting MLK (and mimiking his voice) about how he memorized his speach and would use it for game motivations speaches for his team.

nothing to see here

No, but the fact that it comes the day after the big win kind of makes it look funny. Anyway, as said, I think its harmless- seems like a lot of people didn't like it though.

Faux outrage x 10000. It might be in poor taste but it's not like they took a dump on his grave. People are so sensitive.

NFL has found that 11 of the Patriots footballs used in Sunday’s AFC title game were under-inflated by 2 lbs each, per league sources.

If this isn't classic Patriots I don't know what is. They skim the line so close most of the time it's a miracle they don't cross it more often

The question then is how did the balls get approved by the refs? They mark all approved balls and give to ball attendant, which are not handled by anyone else after. The entire process involving the officials is likely come under fire as well for letting the balls into the game.

It matters nothing to me, but for argument's sake....

The same ball attendants, who are employees of each home team?
The balls each offense uses are kept on each team's own sidelines for the rest of the game.

Said ball attendant, on the Pats sideline, and a 5 second poke with a inflation needle drops the pressure an easy two pounds.

They didn't cheat, they misinterpreted the rules.

The Pats have to cheat when God is clearly intervening to help the Hawks win football games.

“That’s God setting it up, to make it so dramatic, so rewarding, so special,” he said, alone for a moment in the locker room before heading out for the night. “I’ve been through a lot in life, and had some ups and downs. It’s what’s led me to this day.”
