Pretty happy with most of the radio/TV personalities so far. I always liked Loubo when he was on TV so was extremely glad to hear he landed the colour gig on 960. His quirkiness and constantly pretending that he's like 90 years old is an amusing contrast with Wills and Steinberg in the post game stuff, so they often make fun of eachother quite a bit and seem a little less rigid than when the legendary Maher was around.
I preferred Maher's voice to Wills', but he calls a pretty tight game and seems on the ball. There's an interview of him on youtube with Breakfast TV when he first came to Calgary wherein he's quite open about the challenge of following a legend like Maher, but he seems confident in his own unique style/abilities and wants to grow on folks over time.
Also think it's awesome to have Hrudey on full time TV color duty.

1) Do I think he knows his ####?
Why yes, yes I certainly do.
2) Is Loubardias a decent color man?
Yes, I think he's ok, he's unique...far from great, but ok.
3) Do I find it annoying when he feels the need to to ask himself a set of 3 questions every game or when he's on at lunchtime because he can't seem to think of any other type of delivery?
Why yes, yes I sure do.

I am a big fan of the whole roster of Calgary Sportsnet PBP and colour guys. HUGE upgrade over last year.
However, Pat Steinberg should not be allowed to interview people. Cringe worthy. Sorry Pat...i know you read on here, but you need to up your game or stay away from interviews.

I was listening to Fan for the San Jose game, and they were behind on the play and trying to catch up. They were behind because of all the sponsored segments and advertising post commercials. I understand that it is a business and they need to sell advertising; however I feel they have started to harm the quality of the product they put out with it.
Now that I heard the comparison to Kermit, I can't stop hearing it when Wills does PBP. "Tonight on the Flames game show, special guest, Johnny Gaudreau... and he scores! Yayyyyyy."
It's funny - I've met a few radio guys and their voices are usually higher in normal conversation, they deepen it for radio duty. But Wills' voice goes up in pitch in his PBP compared to his morning and afternoon segments on 960.

It does, actually. I find his voice to be that of a dorky, family-friendly, suspenders / glasses-wearing nerd.

Last night I listened to some on radio...at the start of the 3rd period you could hear in the background that play was already underway when they came back from commercial, and then Wills had to do a 30 second 'brought to you by' speel. Must have been nearly a minute gone in the first by the time commentary started. Not a big deal, but obviously they were squeezing in more ads than should be possible.
Knows his hockey but I'm really starting to question the "true pro" part. He's coming across as a bit of a jerk recently, being condescending to Wils and a jerk to Steinberg. Didn't know what to make of the rumours about him being hard to work with when Sportsnet removed him from the Flames TV side of things, but starting to get that now.
Random observation - That FAN960 "Guy pretending to be a base guitar" is the worst commercial in the history of modern media. I have to turn off the radio every time it comes on. If you played that in Guantanamo Bay all the prisoners would spill their guts immediately.

A few years ago I remember he got into a spat with his color man on a tv broadcast and he got really nasty and the other guy didn't talk for the entire rest of the period
If I'm not mistaken it was about some junior stats or something petty and loubo just laid into the guy
