If Carlyle was the coach the Leafs would still be losing. Before he was fired their scoring was already slumping.
This team was never going to go far, but I thought they would have picked it up a little bit more under Horachek. Oh well, tis' life as a Leafs fan. Every season is a steaming pile of dog crap.

Apparently Phaneuf was mobbed by some hurricanes and no one went to help. Then Staal admittedly shoots at phaneuf a few days after Thornton did. He is not liked anywhere in the NHL it seems

Very possible but it does vindicate Carlyle somewhat as the problems are far deeper than coach. They kind of remind me of the Flames when Brent took over and tried to get Iginla and Co. to play a more responsible team game and they went into that big slump that led to Darryl making those il fated trades. It's starting to look like Kessel may have to be moved out if the culture is going to change.

I don't remember the exact GA total, but the guys on Sportsnet this morning noted that the Leafs are being outscored something like 37-11 in games where a fan tosses a jersey.

I didn't know you can be criminally charged for throwing a jersey on the ice.
Would this mean the Leafs are the ones bringing forth the charges.
If so they are the ones that should be charged for fraud. Posing as an NHL team and extorting money from their fans

Eric Duhatschek on 960 right now saying the Leafs are the worst team in the league he's seen all year since firing Carlyle. Says they weren't great under Carlyle but at least they scored a lot of goals and were exciting. Says he's doing a piece that Toronto is an impossible place to coach in that every coach seems to have their best seasons before or after working with for the Leafs.

Leafs average 35.6... shots against in the last 3 games. Wasn't that the same sample size claimed to be evidence of a "big change" towards defensive play last week?

Jerseys, or anything, shouldn't be thrown on the ice during play. Would suck for a team's star player to be impeded by a jersey during game 7 of a playoff series while up by 1 with an empty net and give the other team a chance to tie it....
If it was at the end of the game or during stoppage I would be against it.
