Have to agree with this. I absolutely have my favorites; Monahan, Bouma, Gio, Johnny, etc. at this point I don't think I have a least favorite. Guys are playing their roles well. Unlike past years I don't really have a scapegoat like a Anders Eriksson

Favourite: lots... Brodie, Giordano, Gaudreau, Monahan, Bouma, Byron. I haven't 'liked' the team this much since 2004.

Dislike: Raymond I guess

I cheered for Todd Bertuzzi to be successful when he was with the Flames so I suppose anything is possible. I simply don't see this as something I would have to really consider though as he's very likely never to be a Flame. Alex Burrows or Kevin Bieksa would be incredibly hard to cheer for in a Flames jersey but again lets hope we never have to cross that bridge.

He is not a smart player, he takes dumb penalties, he is the laziest player I have ever seen make a line change. What drives me nuts about him is that he will take the majority of a game off and then give a huge effort, score a goal or make a hit, continue on for a few more shifts and then disappear again.

Glencross' issue is he's a third liner pushed onto the first line. How many other teams would play Glencross like we do?

He's expected to be better for some reason, for me Glencross is what he is. Guys that hussle every shift, score goals and bring physical presence are almost unheard of. Glencross isn't one of them but the fans expect him to be.

Bollig.

I may be biased but I think this team has a whole bunch of these guys - Backlund, Hudler, Monahan, Stajan, Gio, Russell, Jooris, Gaudreau, Bouma, Smid, McGrattan - they are genuinely nice guys (the others may also be but I haven't heard them as much). I also think it's not a factor to be underestimated - it's a part of being a good team and important that these guys like each other and will play hard for each other.

I don't really have a favorite, but I pay a lot more attention when Gaudreau is on the ice.

Glencross is probably my least favorite, turnover machine and has so much wasted talent.

Default Who is your favorite and least favorite flame right now?

Gaudreau

I don't have a least favourite. I love all my Flames!

Though I wouldn't be hurt if Ortio sticks around and I see less of Hiller's game.

Favourite: Monahan hands down. HM to Gaudreau and Giordano....all for painfully obvious reasons.
Least Favourite: Raymond. I've had it in for him since he came and I don't even know why. He hasn't done anything to change my opinion.

I enjoy watching Gaudreau the most but Backlund is right up there, too.

For least liked, I'd say Bollig... but compared to my least favourite players in years past, he doesn't even compare.

I have actively disliked: Chris Butler, Blake Comeau, Ales Kotalik, Ian White, Anders Eriksson and Andrei Zyuzin... over the past handful of seasons. There has always been at least one.

This year though, I don't actually mind Bollig but he is still at the bottom of my list.

Favorite: Man-crushing hard on Gaudreau, Monahan and Brodie

Least Favorite: and I mean this by far.. Glenncross. I have not liked this guy for the last couple of years. Sure I will cheer for him but I'd drive him to the airport myself if we could trade him for a bag of pucks.

Favorite: Johnny. Followed closely by Gio, Brodie and Monahan.

Least Favorite: Glencross/Smid = Tie

I only like Glencross when he stands in front of net on PP, but HATE him when he tries to be playmaker.

Love Smid's effort, and the guy is tough, but foot speed is way too slow.

I just have to say that this is a great thread and a good idea for QOTD periodically!

Though I don't like the multiple player answer gotta find a way to pick one of each as of today.

Favorite right now: Backlund (and I will be the first to admit I never thought he would ever be my favorite especially amongst this talented group)

Least favorite: Raymond (he's useless and I thought he was better, all I think is that he's stealing a roster spot from some young gun that is way more eager and making far less)

Least: Diaz, I don't like his game. He always seems overwhelmed, regardless of the situation. This season I can only think of one example of a highlight play from him. Also, I dislike anyone that goes by the short name 'Rafa.'

Most: Monahan. I've said for a long time he reminds me of Toews. Unlike the morning guys on the fan960 I have no problem comparing him to Toews at the same age. Just as I see the Flames becoming a team like the Hawks someday - and Monahan will be a big part of that success.

Glencross might be tied with Hiller for my most 'frustrating' player, but I don't understand the dislike. He does stupid things in the neutral and defensive zones every odd game, but he also puts in (and this year has set up) some big goals when it matters.

I think any hate is better directed towards our 5-7 dmen, who all have a vastly different +/- than the rest of the team. That kind of reflects the quality of play they bring in comparison to much of the rest of the team generally speaking.

I want to say Colborne as he is easily one of my favorites and still getting better, but I just can't justify thee favorite. Giordano for now.

Diaz and Smith are not so bad if not partnered with my least favorite Engelland.

Also Glencross lights up the Oilers EVERY time he faces them. That's gotta earn him some brownie points.
