Dang SureLoss - You are a machine. I didn't even have enough time to plug in my PW and hit new thread before this popped up!
Tough news for Glencross although the all-star break couldn't have come at a better time for him.

This'll be a good indication of how the team will/would look without Glencross when/if he's ever traded. I want the team to do well but now I want them to do even better without him.....

Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
Hartley says Glencross's injury isn't serious but is "a little longer than day-to-day". Jooris won't dress tonight. #Flames
if the Flames put Glencross on IR retroactively to the 15th, it means he won't be able to return until the Sabres game at the earliest

At least there's the all star break, although I'm hoping the team does really well without him and proves him expendable.

Now we find out just how big the hole is without him. I don't think it can be filled with our current lineup. I hope to eat my words!

Makes sense, kind of what I was thinking anyway. Wasn't going to make it back for either this or the Ducks game, and then he has the all-star break to mend up and possibly make a return. If not, keep going with the guys they have. No big deal.
I wonder if we see Shore against the Ducks at all. IMO, the only reason Raymond and Granlund are playing tonight is because they responded so well the last game. If they falter (or somebody else falters) I would expect Shore to play. There was nothing about his game that made me think he was worse than any of the bottom 6 forwards at the moment. Just needed an adjustment period.

Three games will never prove that, no matter how badly some fans (not necessarily you, mind) wish it were so.

I'm sure someone already mentioned it, but Cassie Campbell said the other night that it was a groin injury IIRC.
I thought they were only supposed to say "lower body", but I guess she let that one slip.
Either way, is it groin or knee? Anyone know?

Does anyone think they'll even call anyone up? There's still too many bodies IMO

We should start a new thread up about when to bring the Wolf up though.. Been really dominating lately in Addy, huge physical presence with some nice hands. Only on a one year contract.

Groin would be better than knee and more in line with Hartley's early optomism.

No reason to call anyone up. Issue may be with Wolf though is he'll sign elsewhere if he doesn't get a sniff at some point this season.
I really feel this will be a time when people will see there is more to life without Glencross on the Flames than with him on the Flames moving forward. Even if you take Shore out of the equation, there's Jooris and Granlund sitting there willing to chew up his spot.
I really hope Glencross waives his NTC when it's time. I just do not see a fit for him on the Flames heading into next season. There's plenty of forward depth in the system to tinker with.

I think it's a safe bet that Wolf will get called up at some point.
Right now, we're long bodies and short games. But that can change quickly.

The only guy that Wolf could legitimately replace in the line-up would be Bollig, but I would like to see him get that chance.
