Nunchuks are prohibited devices in Canada. So, yeah.

Yea, Nunchucks are illegal.
Be careful buying them online. They are illegal to import into Canada as well and if you do purchase and ship them here, you could be charged with importing a prohibited weapon.
I've seen decent looking plastic ones at the dollar store before. That's probably the closest you will get legally.

Yep, go figure. So are blow-guns, which are just a hollow tube.

Don't swords need to be dull to purchase/import them?

Can't buy a switchblade in most states in the US, where as you can buy an AK 47, go figure.

Go sweet talk a welder, pretty sure you could brew up a pretty legit pair with minimal effort/cost. They may not be balanced, or as reliable/safe all around as the ninja-grade stuff you can probably buy online.. So you may want to hold off on the fancy Hollywood around-the-shoulder-n-thru-the-legs power moves.

I would try Kicks Martial Arts on 32ave NE. I think they would have them as lots of people (kids included) train in styles that teach them. Phone first maybe.

if they are just meant to be a gag gift couldn't you just make your own
a couple pieces of dowel
a few chain links
a couple of these u-shaped nails to attach the chain to the dowels

If you're going for a Ninja Turtles theme you'll want to pair nunchuks with an orange bandana, as is was Michelangelo who wielded them. The red bandana'd turtle was Rafael, who had sais.

But he wanted to make it the red Foot Clan bandana.
Maybe he wants to dress up as Michaelangelo and have a ChuckOff with his friend?

Lee's Orientals in Dragon City Mall. He's my old karate instructor, and they're part of the curriculum. They are foam though, and steel chains, as mentioned above, hard bodied nunchuku are illegal.

Out of 53 states (including USVI), it is legal to possess a switchblade in 42. It is legal to carry one in 39. I wouldn't call that most.
Assuming you're talking about a FA AK-47, the process of actually acquiring a FA firearm in the US is pretty much always grossly exaggerated. You can't simply "go and grab one". You first need make sure your state allows then, then find one being sold, which is tough since anything after 1986 is not available for public sale. Once you find one, you have to cough up the price, which was about $12,000 back in 2004 for an AK, a lot of FA firearms are now north of $20,000. Then it takes about 3 months for the background check, registration and tax stamp. Price and availability are hugely prohibitive.
As for nunchucks in Canada, as already stated, they are prohibited. Can't import, purchase, possess (unless you have a business exemption) or make them.

What's the point of buying nunchuks unless you do the ol' around-the-shoulder-n-thru-the-legs? I mean, c'mon?
