You're talking about only one way to install apps on a Mac. Today, most apps are installed via the App Store, like most other platforms.

A single app file in a dmg file did include that super tedious "drag to applications" installation step, as an alternative to the old windows setup wizards. The comparison you should be making is "drag to application folder" vs. "click through a setup wizard".

I'm condescending because the OP simply asked what size of drive he should go for, not for your opinion on the product he's already chosen to buy.

I use both PC and Mac for business use in a variety of industries. They're both fine and each one operates slightly different. Take the time to Understand those differences and you're fine. i find people who complain about one or the other simply just like to complain about something.
