And like many a former Oiler before him, never to be seen in an NHL jersey again (unless Edmonton picks him up).

Wait, doesn't this actually mean the Oilers did something good? Got something for nothing?

Maybe the Preds AHL coaches can rehabilitate the Oiler out of him.

Overcoming POSD (Post Oiler Stress Disorder) can be a long and painful process...

What? Come back to reality man. The impossible is so for a reason.

At least he got to score his final NHL goal as a member of a decent team.

Jesus…that didn't take long. Makes you wonder why the Preds even bothered to do a trade if they didn't like Arcobello enough to keep him around a little longer. Hell, even Dubnyk has recovered from POS (post-Oilers syndrome…what did you think it was?).

I just think the Oilers want the Preds to take back a contract. They could have claimed Roy on waivers the day before, but they probably didn't want to add to their contract limit. Nashville probably didn't really want Arcobello.

Yeah but to be fair, that took some time too. Nashville dumped him quickly too and Montreal only used him in the AHL as well. He only recovered after signing with the Coyotes in the summer.

Can't wait to hear the quote from the coach that he was in terrible condition, couldn't keep up in the Preds practices.

^^^That's justice. Hard working smaller player who gets thrown to the wolves in Edmonton. Gets traded unnecessarily (IMO, I know not everyone agrees) to another organization after busting his tail for a bad team. New team waives him (even more disheartening) gets picked up by an Eastern powerhouse and gets to not only play with an old teammate, but on the same team as two superstar centers to learn from. Couldn't ask for a better situation.
Good luck Mark, you were one of the more likable guys on a team full of awful character.

Man, if the Penguins win the cup that would be some Cosmic Irony.
Perron and Arcobello get rings and the Oilers get 30th place and the first and last picks of the first round.

Good for Arcobello. He was probably feeling pretty low playing for the Oilers, then even lower when Nashville waived him. He probably had flashes of his short NHL career being over. Now he's on to a cup contender with the 2 best players in the world and dreams of $ if he gets to put up points with those 2. Sweet sweet justice.

I hope Arcobello lights it up too. Perron has looked fantastic thus far.

There are hockey Gods, and they pretty clearly disapprove of the Oilers.

Penguins with Arcobello looking for 4th-line scoring depth, and feel he can play top-9 for them in a pinch

He's not going to be playing with Sid or Malkin but he is a much better place than he was at the start of the year, he must be doing moonwalks around his living room about now.
