David Wolf is the guy who benefits from this. McGrattan will be available to him to not only teach him the enforcement side of the game, but he will ensure that Wolf learns the code and respect.

I know Wolf had become friends with Gillies and spoke highly of him and it scared the heck out of me because I didn't want him picking up some of Gillies, lack of a better term, poor habits in fighting and enforcement from him. McGrattan is a much better teacher for this.

Kind of a torch passing from the old school to the new school.

Per the AHL.com page, McGrattan was officially assigned to Adirondack tonight.

He will wear #77 with the Baby Flames. His regular #16 is currently being worn by Mathieu Tousignant. Being the guy he is, I wouldn't be surprised to see him give the number up to Grats.

Interesting story out of Colorado Eagles, with Carr up in Adirondack and their other goaltender injured, they had to turn to their emergency backup who hadn't started a game in 7 years.

The guy's college hockey career was 4 minutes of relief in his senior year.

Colorado won the game 5-3 after being down 2-0, but then again they were playing the Oilers affiliate.

So has Devin Setoguchi unofficially retired? Been awfully quiet regarding his "injury"

The Baby Flames are reputed to be really quiet about most injury matters.

Treliving calls Arnold's injury significant and that he will miss some time

That's a shame. Arnold was poised to take a big step forward in the absence of Knight and now that's delayed.

The injury looked bad though. Seeing him skating back to the bench, you could tell he was in a ton of pain and that the hit rocked him a little. The way he looked dazed, I thought it was a concussion as well, although hopefully (and I hate to say it that way) it is just a shoulder injury.

If Arnold is going to be out a while, I hope they send Granlund down to get some playing time. I know they just got Shore as well, but he replaces Knight. It would be great to see Granlund and Shore both playing, to get a good comparison of where they stand relative to each other.

Yea, I would like to see Granlund back just to get him top minutes and maybe get Reinhart going again too. One of those cases where sending him down actually benefits more then just his career.

I imagine Taylor Vause will be back too as he was very trusted by Huska to take face-offs.

Oh my. That top 6 looks unbelievable. Granlund and Reinhart re-united and Shore/Sven using their playmaking abilities to set up Poirier is going to be so much fun to watch.

Didn't Ferland play with Granlund early in the season?

Then a good third line of Hanowski + Agostino + Wolf.

I don't think any of those guys have played Center in quite a while, Hanowski & Agostino were wingers their entire NCAA tenure IIRC and who knows with Wolf. I'd probably put Reinhart back at C for the time being.

Arnold between Hanowski and Wolf

A pretty impressive top 9, comprised entirely of prospects

Guess we won't see Shore after all. He's been recalled.
