You can tell Randorf hasn't called NHL games for several years when he sees Granlund #60 coming out of the box and calls him Backlund, who wore #60 in his rookie season.

Granlund has to stop grabbing the stick like that when he gets hooked. Squeeze it under your arm, don't grab it with your hand.

He did it on purpose, he know a PP would kill all our momentum, so he made sure it was a 4-on-4

Cool, thanks for coming out Gary.

Good thing Healy isn't working this game, otherwise he'd still be listing all the reasons Johnny will fail.

That's fine, but to me it was pretty clear he was trying to make a play there.

Hiller - He's been fine. He's a placeholder with a short term deal.
Engelland - Overpaid for sure, but he's a placeholder, plus he helps them reach the cap floor.
Bollig - Replaced McGrattan, really hasn't been that bad. Much better since being paired with Stajan.
Raymond - He hasn't been good. But again, placeholder and they've gotta reach the cap floor.
Setoguchi - We knew he was a reclamation project. Low risk, medium reward. Didn't work out but I can't blame him for trying.
The team is rebuilding and they needed veterans to create competition. None of his acquisitions (aside from maybe Hiller) were meant to be big important pieces going forward.

Don't think the Flames played well at all in the 2nd other than a couple good shifts. Lucky to be up 1.

Didn't Randorf do Montreal games for TSN regional telecasts?

The challenge will be getting that second goal. It's rare for the home team to not score at least once.
Flames are getting outshot, but they've been competitive and battling the entire game.
