In addition to recalling goaltender Doug Carr, Adirondack has reassigned Taylor Vause to Colorado.

Interesting move.

That gives us 15 forwards and potentially only 12 healthy as Reinhart was sick/injured last game, Van Brabant was wearing no contact yellow this morning and Setoguchi is still not skating or attending practice.

Plus the whole fact Gillies still has a roster spot over this kid.

Huska, who is working day in and day out with Poirier on molding his game and becoming that hard-working player the Calgary organization embodies, immediately offers reasons why Poirier's inclusion makes sense.

"He's one of those guys that tends to find the areas where the pucks are going to be, and he puts himself in a good position to shoot. He's got a great shot when he does let it go," Huska said. "He's a deceiving skater. I would bet most defensemen in our conference know who he is and when he's on the ice because they have to be on their toes when he's out there because he skates very, very well."

The Calgary Flames have taken another step toward buying the Stockton Thunder, an ECHL team in California, which could lead to the departure of the Adirondack Flames.

The Stockton City Council is considering a proposal to transfer the lease of the Stockton Arena from the team's current owner to Adirondack Flames Canada, according to The Record in Stockton.

Adirondack Flames Canada is operated by the Calgary Flames. The Canadian organization uses different companies in order to do business in the United States.

If he reaches the arena in time, he could possibly play their next game with Addy running into their own center issues at the moment.

yes. Treliving said he would join the Adirondack Flames tonight because it didn't make a whole lot of sense to rush him into the lineup against the Canucks. Don't see why they wouldn't play him against Utica, especially with Arnold injured.

Fair enough and the Flames (both Calgary and Adirondack) do have several days off after this as well.
