Online is brutal. Seems like everyone I play either has mad lag or considers spamming poke check to be "defence"

Now is a great time to start online vs. Played my first game last night and the guy had :30 attack time and 1 shot all game. Easy mode with all the Christmas noobs.

Just got the game for ps4 last week. Overall it is pretty fun while in the game but the menus drive me ####ing insane.

I don't really play online just mostly in Be a GM and I have a question.

Is there really no place to edit jersey numbers in the game? I have read a little that you can only change them in Be a GM mode but I can't find the option anywhere.

Please don't tell me I have to go a full year before I can change Johnny's number to 13. Please.

Overall it is an ok game... If my Fiancée hadn't bought it for me out of the blue there would be no way in hell I would shovel out $70.00 for it

Online VS uses your ranking to try to match you up with similarly skilled players. You start at the bottom. Even below average players will have high rankings by now because you get a lot more positive ranking points for a win then negative ranking points when you lose.

Your competition at the start will most consist of:

- new players like yourself
- 5 year olds
- the mentally feeble

Sure is. I usually play HUT in div 1 so it's fun to actually play Johnny Gaudreau online once in a while in Online vs.

I play Div 1 in HUT, and it's nice to play games where people actually hit each other instead of just poke check.

It sure is. Although it is fun running guys at the red line with the third man back in HUT. Nobody really expects it to come from a forward. Usually I'll skate back with the third man high past my blue line and do a circle in my own zone as the opponents breaking out. They start getting speed and run him near the red line lol. Everyone poke checks so much in hut div 1 they never see that hit coming. Can't do it over and over though, they'll catch on eventually.

I'm pretty much done with hut... And maybe the franchise as a whole.. Too frustrating.. Get to div 1 and regardless of what I do, I can't win. Then I get relagated to div 2, lose all my games there and relagated to div 3, then I win suddenly and climb all the way back to div 1 and then rinse and repeat.

I couldn't be anymore frustrated and it's just not worth the energy...

So... I have about 1.8 million in players that I'm looking to get rid of for the Xbox one. I will post when I liquidate and be taking offers on the pucks.

Keep me posted. I'm on xbox one too. Really need a duschene to complete the avs collection.

Anyone use Datsuyk? I'm thinking about adding him to my squad and he seems really good but if anyone has some opinions on him that would help a lot.

Suffering through the same battle at the moment. I've not yet been relegated down to div 2, but continuing to fail to win the title in division 1 is infuriating. I've been 7-0-0 in Div 1 a few times, and still have failed to win the division title.

I've sold Toews, Kopitar Totw 93 over, Jari Kurri, Robitaille, Modano, Hedman totw, Voracek 90 Totw, McDonough, Nash, Hanzal PotG, Thorton totw 91ovr and doughty totw 92 ovr.

Have on the market Datsyuk, Fleury totw 91 ovr, Carlson 89 totw, Crawford Totw, Bishop, Kesler Totw 91 ovr, and I know I'm forgetting a couple more.

But I have 1.1M in pucks with another 700k on the market. With the 5% loss on sales.

I have gone all Flames now.

Hiller cancer card, Ramo, Totw, Raymond cancer card, Hudler winter Classic, Gio totw, Brodie totw.
And all the other usual suspects. I have also gone with Ferland and Baertschi from Addi to replace Bollig and Mcgratton on the 4th line.

And have gone 5-1-1 since... But div 3... Don't even care if I suffer the same crap in div 2 and 1 cause I'm using the tram I love and making them fight for every win.

Also sitting on 1.1 million in pucks to jack my players overalls through the roof.

There are what, 7 #1 stars of the month every year and he was one of them but doesn't have a hut card.. Wtf.. Oh and also now an All-star in his rookie campaign.. Cmon ea..

He is in GM/regular/VS mode. He isn't rated very high (76 I think).

i've updated my approach for my HUT team building. Instead of scouring the auctions and trying to increase my team of ~85s to 88+s, i'm just investing in 15game duration cards, and using the booster training cards i got in the weekly free packs. I have juiced my top 2 lines to be high 90s (ie. 99 RNH, 99 r. johansen, 98 landeskog) and then juiced at least one of my top 4 d (99 hedman). Once the training durations time out, i'm wondering if i should just use young guys like monahan/bennet/m. reilly/etc and invest in boosting their overall or actually go out and hunt for expensive players in the auction.

so what's better a 10K puck center with an 88ovr or investing half as much and having a lesser valued player juiced to be ~95 overall?

Johnny? They updated his stats with the December roster update, he's over 80 now.

I've always juiced at least a few players. I like to have a few boosted on 15gm and some on 3gm trainings. I use Monahan boosted to 96 and have used Bennet juiced to 99 and they have both been good. This is my current line up:

Benn (99) - Datsuyk (92) - Hossa (92)
WJC Fin Player (99) - Monahan (96) - Modano (95)
Robataille (95) - Seguin (96) - All star Iginla (92)
TOTW Boyle (90) - TOTW Hanzal - Burns

MOV Brodie (99) - Seabrook (99)
Hedman (98) - Letang
Vlassic - POTG Hamilton (92)

+2 all cards are super cheap and a great way to boost. The + all cards boost their hidden ratings like faceoffs as well. I used to use boosted Nishkushkin and Landeskog to 99 and they are great at that rating.

How the hell are you guys getting all these players worth 100k+ pucks? It takes me hours to save up 10,000 pucks and then half of that is spent on contracts and stuff.

I pulled Modano from a pack, the others I bought off the AH. Seguin was about 40, same with benn. The most expensive card I bought was Datsuyk for 80k. I have a secret to making pucks easy (pm me for info) and I also buy and sell players off the AH. Since xmas though I havent done the buying players thing as the market is fluctuating a lot.

Bronze packs can make surplus coins as well but it's slower. I really got my coin stack going buying and selling b burns for 7k and selling him for 10k. Go to the 59 minute mark and buy players that just go up on the AH for cheaper and flip them.

Ortio got a Player of the Game card for his shutout last night, but still no Gaudreau. Stupid EA.
