They do, and it ends with hundreds of other people dying with them. This has happened so many times in this world I doubt anyone can keep track anymore.

NBC is reporting the suspects have been captured/killed.

http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/par...ls-say-n281761

Quote:
One of the suspects in the Paris attack on Charlie Hebdo magazine has been killed and the two others are in custody, two senior U.S. counterterrorism officials told NBC News on Wednesday.

Authorities earlier had identified the three men as Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi, both French and in their early 30s, and Hamyd Mourad, 18. It couldn't immediately be determined which of the suspects was killed or whether the two others were wounded.

From the article:
Quote:
Authorities linked the operation to the 19th Arrondissement Network, named for the Paris district where it was based, which is home to many Muslim families with roots in France's former North African colonies. Kouachi was convicted in 2008 and sentenced to three years in prison, 18 months of which were suspended.

The Associated Press quoted Cherif Kouachi in 2008 as saying he'd been motivated by outrage at images of torture of Iraqi inmates at the U.S. prison at Abu Ghraib. "I really believed in the idea," it quoted him as saying.

It would be nice if 'we' the west at least admitted that our wholehearted support for Israel is a huge problem for our relationship with Muslim's, the rank stupidity of the US thinking it could bring democracy to the Middle East when it is allowing Israel to, in the minds of most Muslims, steal their 'brothers' lands and pretty much treat them like dirt is staggering.
I don't care if we support Israel but let's at least be honest about its effect as a foreign policy and ask if it's worth it.

I hope this doesn't affect Canada's decision to allow Muslim Syrian Refugees into this country.

IMHO Canada is stronger with more diversity. Canadian Muslims are peaceful and once the Syrian Muslims integrate into the Canadian Muslim community, any predisposition to extremism will go away.

Why not, or at the least what the hell do we get by supporting them?
They treat the Palestinians like dirt, we wear that in the eyes of Muslims the world over. What the hell do we get out of it?

At some point it be hooves us to tell Israel, you made your own bed, now lie in it.

Sources tell AFP that 18-year-old Hamyd Mourad surrendered to police at 23:00 local time on Wednesday "after seeing his name circulating on social media". "He has been arrested and taken into custody," another source told the agency.

A hashtag called #MouradHamydInnocent is trending in France, reportedly started by classmates of 18-year-old Hamyd Mourad who say they were in class with him at the time of the attack.
Very interesting

Agressive as in killing millions of people around the world in the name of their views?

I would think the opposite. Life matters more when you are nothing but worm-food afterwards.

Edit: unless you're some nihilistic, eyeshadow-wearing atheist, that is.

I saw something on CBC about a week ago, I think called the rise of ISIS. Actually I only saw the second half of it. An interview with one guy, an analyst of some sort, said something that stood out to me. He basically said that Isis has no political ideologues that they are fighting for. It is simply bloodlust they can tag on their religion. I guess it seems strange to me on how you try to understand the motivation of a group like that. The lack of political drive really stuck with me.
