Reinhart got my vote.

But in all honesty, there will be a few surprises name on that list that will make it, always will be a few from out of the blue.

Would love to have Duclair in our prospect pool. I think he'll contribute at the NHL level for a very long time.

A competent team could easily turn Nurse into a perennial Norris contender, but you just know Edmonton is gonna ruin him. I actually feel bad for him.

First time he gets injured after making the team and Lowe pressures him to make a "rapid recovery" because they're so thin on the blue line will mark the end for him. I'm sure Hall has already had his career shortened by several years at this point

Domi had a great tournament and reminds of the kind of tournament Tootoo had when he played. The fans love him and are chanting his name. Unfortunately though, in the NHL, they are really fourth line players or maybe top out on the third line. Nothing to be ashamed of, but not top six.

Wow that's not what I saw at all. Tootoo was a pest - but Domi was a key offensive cog. He generated chances on his own - out of nowhere.
If he makes the NHL it will be as an offensive player. I think the name is throwing people off.

He will need to add muscle because he's not as slippery as a Gaudreau, and tends to get hit a fair bit.

Oops... didn't read the question closely. Just picked guys I thought would make it. As far as impact players go: Domi, McDavid, Nurse, and Reinhart.

yeah I think he needs to fill out to be a short/stocky - tough to move off the puck kind of guy.

I should've clarified, because I didn't mean in terms of the style of play at all. I meant in terms of him being a fan favourite and having a great tournament and all that. It reminded me of Tootoo because when he was playing in Halifax I came away from that tournament thinking he was going to be so good in the NHL.

I do think Domi is a totally different type of player, it was the other stuff that reminded me of Tootoo at that level.

one thing to remember with this and that a lot of the TSN guys always say is that it's a 19 year olds tournament

so you have 2013 draftees like Domi, Duclair and Nurse don't make the team last year and are key contributors this year

other guys from the 2013 draft make huge jumps

Petan (5 points to 11)
Reinhart (4 points to 11)

Too soon?
I'm calling it today, the Oil will NOT be in a position to draft McDavid.
They will not finish 30th.

If they finish out of the playoffs they ate in that position. 30th isn't really in a position to draft McDavid

I went with hickeys, mcjesus and point

I like point for personal reason, but he did seem to have good positioning a lot of the time.

It is always interesting to look back on the various rosters of tc and see who did and did not make it.

I thought Point had a terrific final game - all over the ice and really strong on the forecheck. I didn't pick him but I think he will surprise. I picked the obvious in McDavid and Reinhart and also picked Morrissey and Domi. Domi reminds me a bit of Marchand. I think he's a fighter and a competitor.

Domi is quite strong and stocky. He seems to have really strong legs too and good base strength. I don't think he will have to add any more muscle/strength than most 19 year olds that enter the NHL. For his age and size, his strength is quite good, and i think he's had to be because of the physical, agitating game he plays.
