Jimmy's is definitely not the best.
Shawarma Knight to me is #1
Shawarma King is good too and so is Pita Grill in Riverbend.

Our shawarma scene in Calgary, however, is very severely lacking and is far from an authentic experience.

I'm actually quite surprised to see Falafel King on 8th hasnt been mentioned. Best Schwarma and Falafel in the city and most authentic i've found. Amazing place.

Yeah Shawarma station is the best in terms of consistency & quality for sure. I love that Sam leaves the finished wrap on the grill long enough to get a little crispy, worth the wait for sure.
Shawarma House on 11th/5th is our go-to from the office, I think the owner used to work at Falafel King previously. Super friendly service and they've got all our orders memorized.

Shawarma King in Kensington for sure is among the best in Calgary.
The staff are not the friendliest but it's the most delicious and freshest Middle East food I've ever eaten.

there used to be a place at the foot of the center street bridge, i beleive it fell victim to that fire in the area years ago - thier sweet sauce had a hint of honey that was all kinds of awesome!!!!

Gotta second Pita Stop. So good. Anything from the no frills donair, to loading it up with veggies and cheese. Also good Shwarma.

I used to be a Jimmy's (on 4th) guy but lately it hasn't been that great. I think Shawarma House is much better.

Pita Grill in Riverbend is top notch.
And I'm sure I'll get accused of blasphemy, but the Olly Fresco's in Bow Valley Square also makes a very good donair.
