Gauthier still skates like he has his skates on the wrong feet.

I disagree. Most good GMs would be more concerned about what they have and what they need instead what they want.

He sees his team every day. He can miss a game. You're being extreme. GM's scout all the time.

Reinhart is such a smart player. If his skating was improved, he'd be the full package.

They do both. It's very common for GMs to take in a game or two (if not more) of this tourney, regardless how the NHL team is doing. They'll look at potential picks next season as well as any of their own prospects that are playing.

I dislike MacT as much as anyone else, but I don't see the problem with him being there. I'd actually be more surprised if he didn't take in any game at the WJC.

Can we just agree that he'd rather watch Canada vs US instead of his pathetic team?

Bowey with a great stick to break up on a 3-on-1, wow. Solid player in this tourney.

At first I wanted to call that off, but on second view that is a goal.

Certainly nothing wrong with MacT scouting at a game with the potential 2015 top 2 picks playing. If the Flames were in last place I would want Treliving there. As a Flames fan, I would also want him to keep a low profile. Show some class!!! No TV interviews!! The Hockey gods are always watching.
