I commented before the tournament that I found the Canadian lineup a bit underwhelming (just a personal opinion).
However, watching the games, I love how they are playing. It is like the teams of a few years ago where they roll 4 lines that all have speed, skill and physicality.
When Canada plays like this, they win.
I hope they never go back to the strategy of trying to build NHL-type teams, with defensive lines and role players.
Just put 4 fast, solid, and talented lines together and then set them loose.

I'd pay $100 for a Canada/US game no problem.
Pretty much everything below press level in the Dome is in that range or way higher, and it's not like this is a low level game. I honestly fail to see the problem with those prices.

I'm not going to quantify the size of that population, I'm not capable of doing that with the information I have.
But yes, there is a "population" (size tbd or debatable) in the city of Montreal who would much rather watch a Team Quebec play than a Team Canada. For sure, 100% true, in fact I know some of these people personally. Finding it really hard to believe, assuming that you live in this country, that you are finding it hard to believe that this would be the case? Quebec sovereignty is one of the most frequently debated political and cultural topics in this country, for like decades.............. in fact, since the beginning of this country.
Sorry my friend, but if you don't understand the above then you are very very guilty of what you are accusing me of.

I can't speak for everyone, but most of my friends who wanted to go see the game, it would have cost them 500 for the night.
They work a lot, so when they are on holidays they want to be with their families and not go alone. They want to go with their kids and that's when it gets expensive.
500 for one night vs stay at home, have friends over and watch the game on TV? Easy choice, really.

Maybe on the secondary market, but there's no pricing that puts individual tickets at $500.

It's cool, we'll just have to watch the perpetual high drafters like Carolina, Edmonton or Colorado take him.

Again, I'm in no mood to argue so I'll respond once then PM me if you want to continue and we will another day.
Obviously there is a group of people in Quebec that aren't Patriotic (there are groups in every Province btw). Id have to live under a rock to not realize that. To suggest that is the reason they aren't selling games out in Montreal is ignorant.
To put is as simple as I can. If a large group, big enough to impact ticket sales to these games, in Montreal would rather cheer for a team called the Québécois, then why wouldn't they change the name of the Canadiens to the Québécois?
As I type this a "Canada" chant starts out at the Bell Center. If you have anything more to add PM me, otherwise let's drop your language issues please.

Agreed - people are making way too big a deal of the pricing.
Is it extremely expensive for the average family? Absolutely.
But we are talking about a Canadian city of 3 million people. They should be able to sell out a Canada game at ANY price. Getting tickets to Habs games would be very difficult and just as expensive, if not more. This is a chance for people that can't get Habs tickets to get to a great hockey game.
Completely inexcusable.

This isn't a Leafs game. Montreal doesn't have a bunch of businessmen coming down from Bay Street with tickets the company bought them so they can be seen, hash out their business deals, and pay zero attention to the game at all. Tickets have to be priced at a level where, at the very least, middle-class fans can afford to bring their families without re-mortgaging their home.

Whats the difference with people going to Canadiens games? Those sell out easily.

Sorry, I wasn't referring to individual tickets. I meant 500 bucks for a Family to go. Tickets are over 100 each.

Yeah, it's expensive to take families to any high level game. This isn't the Hitmen or another CHL team, it's an international tournament. It's not marketed to families, it's marketed to hockey fans in general and they should sell out no problem in these two cities.
