Eeesh. I think the Flames broke the Kings. They look nothing akin to a two time Stanley Cup winning team right now.

They are going to have to repaint the visitor's dressing room once Darryl gets through with this sad excuse of an effort by the Kings during the intermission.

I laughed earlier when they were talking about the Kings' road struggles and said that their last road win "all the way back on December 11". Of course, there was no mention that the Oilers last win of any kind was four days before that and their last road win was a month before that.

Pretty solid effort by the mighty Oil thus far tonight.

Carolina, back at the end of October, has been the only team this season to come through Alberta and lose both games.

Will the Stanley Cup champs be the second?

The Kings aren't playing great hockey either, but the oilers are playing the type of hockey that gets more than one won in 21 games

So, either the Oilers hold on to win and the Flames move back into the final wildcard spot, or the Oilers collapse and find another way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Yup. I'm calling it now. Oilers go on a 6 game winning streak winning it in overtime tomorrow. Nelson gets locked up long term and they finish in 28th picking 4th overall

Huh, sounds like the Predators are starting to get some real support from Nashville, they had a franchise record in attendance tonight - 17,401 people came to watch them beat the Blues.

If the Oil gain half a sniff of confidence with a win tonight, it's going to be electric at the Dome tomorrow.

(I guess the heroine beers flowing like water on NYE will probably set the mood as well)
