Glad your fine, for future reference be less concerned about talking to your folks, they raised you, love you and deserve your confidence. They are probably a lot more aware of what you do than you think.
Given the choice they'd be happier if they thought you trusted them.

It depends a lot on quantity ingested. Typical amounts and you will not have any hallucinogenic/psychoactive effects.
But then again, it is a bit of a moot point to discuss. With something that is notoriously impure and cut with who knows what, you may well be ingesting something that is going to "confuse" the #### out of you.

There is legal European dealers that can sell it to you with a doctors note. MDMA can actually be prescribed for certain conditions.

This^^^ You would be surprised what your parents have had experience with to. Parents always seem at first to come of as hard nosed authority figures but then the older you get the more you find out how normal they are.

I'll be honest with you here. When I was younger I did a fair share of it at dance parties and the like. You could just be overwhelmed and having a Anxiety attack. You most likely did not do MDMA . MDMA from a pure form of just ground plant matter . You most likely got Ecstasy tablets. They are in clear dissolvable Capulet and the powder is brown in colour. They are the same as a pressed colored ecstasy tablet. Your probably felt a mild speedy cessation when the drugs kicked in meaning it was a mixed pill. Usually these brown colored pills are cut with Caffiene and on a rare occasion something more sinister. I am no doctor . I wouldn't take my post as medical advice but as antidotal evidence.
I'm in the camp of education over shaming and ridicule. The less number of people that feel shamed by recerational drug use. Proper treatments that can readily available to the public because that money you save the city in pursuing cases and maintaining detention centers. This portion of budget can now go towards funding rehabilitation as you would treat an Alcohol problem.
Interesting side note. If it wasn't for LSD the DNA Helix that Francis Crick imagined may never have existed in the same form.

Seems like the most appropriate place for this: Couple high on drugs ‘trapped’ inside UNLOCKED closet for days
Quote:
A couple who were high on drugs spent two days believing they were trapped inside a janitor’s closet only to discover when the cops arrived that the closet had been open the whole time.
. . . .
When police arrived a foul smell led them to the pair. They found human excrement and paraphernalia for smoking meth and crack cocaine inside the closet.

This reminds me of A Christmas Story, when Ralphie shoots his Red Ryder BB Gun--after everyone in the whole movie told him he'd shoot his eye out, of course--and bam: gets hit in the face by a ricochet. Then, instead of telling his parents what happened, he pretends he fell and broke his glasses. Then they went for Chinese food where they were slipped MDMA causing them to laugh hysterically, dress up as a bunny, and chop a hooker's leg off and display it on a table.

I tried MDMA once and Ecstasy once.
The Ecstacy was a mess. I dont know what was in it, probably rat poison, but it made me angry, hostile and I think my teeth on one side of my mouth are forever ground down a little more than the others.
MDMA was, insane. I have never been happier in my whole life. I could, intuitively, relate with anyone I wanted to talk to and my face hurt the next day from smiling so hard because basically, I was never more happy than whatever second I was on while the drug was coursing through my veins.
Needless to say, I wont be doing either again. Ecstasy for the obvious reasons (its a garbage drug). And MDMA, because no one was made to be that happy (does that make me an inherently angry person?). It was scary after the fact. I tried it because I have friends who do it, irregularly and were talking it up. And while I always wanted to comment on their use of the drug, I felt I couldn't have an appropriate opinion without first experiencing it.
Anywho, just thought I would share. The MDMA I tried was pure, as I made my friend test it with a kit before I would take it. So there are ways to ensure the MDMA you are taking is good or bad.
I say, try it. But you never know how the human body will react to a chemical, so be prepared to take the consequences of needing to go to the hospital if you have a bad reaction.

Ive quoted only the two posts below but Ive seen multiple people differentiate between ecstasy and MDMA. I might not be up to what lingo the kids use these days but MDMA and ecstasy have always referred to the same thing. The MDMA name comes from to the chemical compound and ecstasy was the name given to the drug during the rave scene. Seems like kids now call it Molly. Different name, same drug.
I agree with the sentiment of others in that you might be buying ecstasy with the expectation of getting MDMA but in reality you might get a tab with a bit MDMA with the rest being other drugs or filler. However, it seems people here who have even used Ecstasy have had the expectation that they were getting a different drug other than MDMA. Ive never encountered this before and even a quick internet search doesn't show any widespread use of the name Ecstasy for another drug.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MDMA
I wonder if you guys grew up somewhere that had drug slang that is different from the commonly accepted usage?
Lots of other misinformation in this thread as well. If you're gonna do drugs, do your research.

I'm pretty sure there is regional variation in terminology. I specifically recall some communication breakdowns between here and where I lived for a decade (midwest US). The way I understand it, molly is specifically MDMA. Not a real party drug, more for hanging in chill-out rooms with downtempo beats going. The "E" word is sort of a generic term which -may- contain MDMA, but is always speedier to make it a party-appropriate drug.

It's really not though. Ecstasy generally refers to pressed pills that supposedly contain MDMA, but will also generally contain other chemicals in the pill. MDMA refers to crystals or powder. While there may be impurities in any batch of MDMA, it is generally accepted that the majority of what you're taking is supposed to be the actual MDMA compound itself. The experiences tend to be radically different as well, as many here have already noted.

Those testing kits are far from reliable.
I know of a really bad batch that appeared to be "pure" when it was tested.

A lot of hypotheticals and assumptions you're making.
Something being marketed as MDMA does not mean it is MDMA. Your drug dealer isn't gonna tell you he's actually giving you research chemicals or bath salts but selling it as mdma.
I'd love to see a scientific study where various "MDMA" samples are bought and then analysed with a mass spectrometer to see the actual chemical components.
If the what's in my baggie documentary is any indication, the majority of the "MDMA" you're taking is actually bath salts or research chemicals.
Don't be foolish, just because you're getting it in crystal form doesn't mean it's pure.

I did a lot of drugs back in my day. Uppers and downers and none give the perfect experience and can be bad for your physical and mental health as well as addictive.
If you're looking for the best experience, I've found meditation can beat any drug high I've ever had for peacefulness and exhilaration. Yeah a seemingly contradiction but that's the truth of it.

Meditation is pretty amazing. It's unfortunate that a lot of people do not use it or know how to do it properly.

Do you guys have any good guided meditations you'd recommend? I do a progressive muscle relaxation one that I really like for destressing, but I'm thinking of something more fun.

I've heard adopting an animal and then summarily dismissing it is a great way to destress.
