No goals in the second. What a colossal disappointment.

Hartley just needs to remind the players about their own comeback last game. Close this out

While I'm on the ugly jersey rant, just saw a guy in that Todd Macfarlane oil drop gear shirt.
As gross as it is, at least they had enough foresight to get the oil-gear-drop steaming in the right direction...

Sure, weak period by the Flames, but does that really matter? Their Oilers are so inept at the game of hockey that Adirondak could come here and play against them and still manage to keep the lead.
I've been following the Narrative that the Oilers suck for years, but this is the WORST I've seen them play throughout the entire "rebuild". At this point in time, they are so bad it's not even funny.

Cassie, chewing gum when interviewing?
Ference not sweating, along with trying to sound so "deep and complicated"...I expect him to try and goat Byron or JG into a fight in the third.

Ference: "Well, we played better" in regards to the second period. Loooong way to go. Long long loooong ways.
EDIT: Ference looks like he's trying so hard not to say "yeah we're poo, and we don't really seem to care either".

I really dislike this panel because they keep talking over each other. Also, Johnny's size has NOTHING to do with his ability to continue to produce. STFU Kypreos

Where's Healy?
The "weak" period is really just the Flames allowing the Oilers to think they are playing better - if we dominate them tonight that makes the New Year's Eve game tougher.

Not a great period by the Flames. Since Johnny's outburst in the first period, our offence has once again disappeared. We're playing well defensively though, which is good. Thankfully we're also playing a really terrible hockey team, which helps. I'd like to see the Flames come out with more jump in the 3rd and really put the boots to these chumps. Sitting back and protecting this lead is getting boring.

I'm not a huge fan of Kypreos, but he was just giving his opinion and backing it up with a pretty good argument (assuming your talking about his Gaudreau comments).

NCAA seasons are less than half as long as NHL seasons. It's a completely valid point.

The counter to the size argument is Gaudreau is visibly getting better every game. His rate of progression is exponentially upwards, even if he regresses in the last few 15 or 20 he'll still be in the Calder discussion.
