I thought that if the Flames entered the break with a 9 game losing streak there would be a chance they would lose to the Oilers the next game simply for being a fragile group. That LA game really helped their confidence and now I'm not worried anymore, confident we will take this and the NYE game.

Go Flames!

This has all the makings of a trap game. Any momentum from the win in LA is all but gone by this point after a long break, and teams usually come out flat on home ice after holiday breaks. That being said, I don't think Hartley will allow these guys to be complacent just because they had 1 big win. The Flames would really have to lay an egg to lose this game tonight. And I mean they'd have to play their worst game of the year for a full 60 minutes. And I don't see that happening. This is the worst defensive team in the NHL we're going up against. If a guy like Gaudreau has room to skate, he`s gonna have a field day with them.

4-1 Flames.

I always get this nervous feeling. I know the Oilers are hot garbage but these are points we need to put in the bank because everyone ahead of us already has. There cant be any slipups, whatever it takes we need these two points.

If we lose it has absolutely nothing to do with karma. In fact, the bad juju you're describing has nothing to do with karma

I want them to win big, yet don't want them to spend too much energy on the Oilers with LA coming in next. LA will be looking for revenge. I'd love a half-effort yet still win big like they did in Edmonton at the end of last year.

Here's some visually bold predictions:

- Bollig rocks a couple Oilers into the third row. Hoping Hall is two of them.
- Johnny plays four shifts, gets point on each of them, and then benched for the rest of the game. Gets assists on goals for Raymond and Stajan to get them out of their slumps.
- Need a super mega highlight reel play from Johnny Hockey that goes down in infamy so the Oilers are always seen on it. Skates through the entire team swarming him, bounces the puck off the glass behind the net back to himself in front and knocks it out of the air for the goal.
- The blue tape on our sticks will confuse the hell out of Hall, and he'll make perfect passes to us all game. Much like any other game he plays.
- We'll let them stay close to us, Oilers pull the goalie and Hiller scores an EN goal.
- Todd Nelson fakes a heart attack on the bench so he can get out of the interim/decoy coaching role for the rest of the season.
- Several Oilers jerseys tossed.
- Harvey the Hound pulls out MacT's tongue this time around.

I still love that MacT is front and centre to watch the garbage team he put together. His facial expressions are priceless.

A few seasons ago different Flames scored hat tricks in 3 or 4 games in a row. Has any Flames rookies scored 2 hat tricks in a row?

I hope Harvey goes down to harass MacT again, but this time he should put needles in his tongue.

I want to see Harvey tag Scorchy in for this one.

"Haaaaaaave you met Scorch??"

Scorch takes down MacT and Harvey beats the corpse with his dog bone.

Game is delayed as Oilers' team bus driver mistakenly takes them to Macs midget tournament.

Before the mistake is discovered, they lose three games.

Colby Armstrong saying he's never seen a player like Gaudreau before. So small yet so dynamic. Just as fast with the puck as without it. Thinks he's a special player already

I think Harvey should taunt MacT by having blood on his paws.

I'll believe the slump is truly over if we get scoring spread throughout the Flames' lineup and not just Johnny and Gio. That would be a great confidence boost.

The "no honor for Connor" dumpster fire of a team versus the best rebuild ever.
