Can't be any worse than Shawnessy. Was there last night and there was a patch of asphalt in the middle of the ice. I skated over it at full speed. Won't be going back there. Lucky to have many other better options in the deep south. I don't see any reason to have a patch of exposed asphalt in February with the weather we have had for the last week or two

Well it's a private rink and usually has some of the best ice in the city.

Skated at the new Brighton club last night and early today. Ice was ok, although there were a few trouble spots on the blue lines and along the north boards. Ice really got soft today at noon. If it is 10 again tomorrow, I am assuming it will be done.

Some of the rinks are being locked down tonight so 2 out of the 3 spots that we go to are done. Too bad as the ice should be ok again by Tuesday. Volunteers are likely tired of the sporadic weather and ready for Spring.

Actually what's funny about that is the zamboni is a disadvantage in nice weather because it can't be used at all on soft ice due to being so heavy.

What rinks have the best ice right now?
Just looking for the best place to play some pick up hockey. Preferably SW, or close to downtown.
Thanks!
