Did anyone else notice that Bollig and Hiller were replaced by cardboard cutouts on the bench at the end of the 3rd?

I think you are underestimating Hudler.

I loved that the game ended the way it did, with Gaudreau scoring twice vs Doughty and Gio winning it in OT single handedly after the intermission panel talked about how Gio is good... But he's no Doughty.

That's awesome that future potential flames are pumped about Johnny hockey too!

Sutter, as usual, is totally correct. The Kings outplayed the Flames for half the game, quite easily. Then the Kings backed off, and put themselves in position to be tied off a Flames bounce. He clearly didn't like the space Johnny ahd on the second goal.
It's good that Stoll broke his stick in the second period, with the long change. he couldn't easily get a new one or get off the ice.

Does anyone know:
A) how many goals the flames have scored this season with their goalie pulled
B) the NHL record for goals scored by a team with their goalie pulled?
I imagine the flames have to be at least on pace for setting a record...

Darren Haynes @DarrenWHaynes
#Flames have pulled their goalie near the end of games 16 times (for a total time of 24:55). They've outscored teams 6-5, outshot them 25-5.
Sportsnet Stats @SNstat
Johnny Gaudreau becomes the youngest #Flames player to record a hat trick since Joe Nieuwendyk in 1987.

Impressive stats when playing with an empty net. Maybe Hartley should be pulling the goalie on our silly powerplays.

At least for the home games maybe we can get the scoreboard to show all game long:
3rd period, 2 minutes left, down by 2.

It's a good point, but what it really shows, for as "full of heart" as this team has been and clearly is..........to me the only plausible explanation for the stark difference between the PP and empty net is the Flames clearly don't come with the same urgency on the PP.
I realize there are other differences too, but I think the Flames need to step up the desperation on the PP badly.

Ive noticed this thread is sorely lacking the Skittles Wedding Night GIF.
Isn't a Gaudreau-Trick exactly the reason it exists?
