Tim Schaller has just scored his first NHL goal. Schaller attended the Flames camp in 2012 and was a teammate of Gillies and Jankowski at Providence before signing with the Buffalo Sabres.

Meanwhile in Chicago, the Leafs appear to have fallen off a cliff. 3-0 Hawks, and it has largely been men against boys.
Edit: 4-0.

Kane with a PP goal...Toews then piles on...as Resolute said...now 4-0...Reimer has gotten no support, Offensively OR Defensively

I think he called the GWG a "half-save." That's the hockey version of a glass being half full.

He's guaranteed a roster spot and millions. No way he pulls a Schultz. He's a one and done.

Yeah, that was the homer call on the first replay. Remenda at least admitted Scrivens completely failed after seeing the second replay.

Ryan McDonagh scored four minutes into the game and that was it, the Rangers win 1-0 in regulation.
The Bruins tie it with ninety seconds left in regulation and then Eriksson wins it in overtime, 4-3 Bruins.
The Avalanche beat Detroit 2-1 in the shootout.
After one period, the Jets lead 2-1 over the Flyers.

Yeah....not surprising at all. It's what the Leafs do......fall off a cliff.
Also not surprising, BigTuna MIA as soon as the Leafs start sucking again. It's like a double bonus.

I did not like him when he was on the air here in SJ. So glad he "landed on his feet" in Edmonton

They do this all the time, and yet Carlyle still has a job...Can't trade the players, they've got to change something. It's been like this ever since Carlyle has coached. The players either don't understand his system or his system sucks, either way, he should be gone by now.

Come again? 2nd goal, he was badly screened and the 3rd, his defence allowed Lecavalier a free shot on goal from close in. Not sure you can blame him for either goal.

Yeah, in the NHL you will often face difficult shots. If he can't handle it, he shouldn't be an NHL goaltender.
He's a career 906 btw and is 27. This is nothing new.
Oh and Philly only had like 24 shots in game and he let in 4.

But what I'm saying is, I think you're being unreasonable expecting him to save either of those goals. The 4th I'll give you and I'm not trying to say he is a decent goalie. But blame your defence for first giving Streit a nice long look(and a free skate to the slot) to pick his spot and then somehow coughing up possession in your own zone despite winning the face off.
Rubbish defensive play on both goalies and hardly Pavelec's fault.

ya again Ill simply say that its the NHL and there's going to be chances, and high quality ones. 23 shots faced and he let in 4. He actually allowed 5 but was saved by a double post ring out.
10 mins left in the game, your up by 2. You need a stop end of story. If you dissect every goal 95% of them come from a break down. It's the NHL.... other teams are well coached too adn show up and try and cause these issues. It's why pavelec is a career 906 goaltender.
In a way tho someone else on HF correctly pointed out that the Jets have accrued 5 of 6 possible points since our top 4 D went out for injury and in such time Hutch continues to play well and pavs is pavving it up. At this rate pavelec will be the backup by Feb

Perhaps you guys/gals need to start a "Toronto is No Good" thread ...after all, it's been since 1967 for those bums!
