From the draft point of view, the Flames are only 7 points up on a top 5 pick and have played a lot more games than almost everyone below us.

Not sure if I missed anyone post this, but IMO Raymond could have busted his arse to get that puck that went into our net. He stood there and watched. Not to mention the dman on the other side. That replay from the net cam, they stood there looking at it just stunned, Raymond is supposed to have blazing speed and should have gotten that. Lazy, BS play. He's been garbage since returning, same with Stajan, that guy can't stay on his skates, constantly being knocked over.... Enough with these guys.

I know it happened last year and I feel like it happened the year before too... Why is it that every other team in the conference seems to have games in hand over the Flames for the majority of the year?

I'm sure it all balances out over a season in terms of consecutive nights off and all that but it's honestly really annoying. What's the deal?

Also it was Tanev's birthday today, I hope he gets alcohol poisoning when he goes to celebrate the cup victory.

I know the Flames hands were tied when Stajan, Colborne & Raymond came back from injuries......

BUT WE HAVE LOST 8 STRAIGHT GAMES since they came back in the lineup!

We need to put Raymond & Stajan on waivers. Colborne is playing terrible as well.

Bring back Ferland & Baertschi.

8 straights games fellas.

Take these 3 Losers out of the lineup!!!!

can't blame Hiller. Wide open shot from right in the slot on a broken play. That goes in more than half the time on any goalie.

Colborne has been fine in my opinion. I'd rather Glencross take a seat in the pressbox for a few games. Dude is completely useless.

Terrible mistake from Gio on the goal. He did the same thing last game too. Not good.

Agreed that once it was passed him it was gone...

But he absolutely should have been able to hold the puck in at the blueline. Should have never gotten past him.

agreed. Glencross just doesn't look like he has the fire he used to, maybe he is battling through something but he just is losing puck battles consistently over the past few games.

Just got back from the game. It was one where you could tell both teams were slumping and lacking confidence.

I was happy to see us get a point in a tough rink to play at, and Johnny has scored both times I've seen him live.

Flames on an incredible streak of bad puck luck. how many own goals like that get scored a season? 2? over 2450 games? Of course it had to be us.

I was least happy with the play of Raymond. Guy had to stop and think every time the puck was on his stick. Never made a swift reaction play once all game. Colborne was reasonably effective.

Engelland continues to be absolutely terrible. Watching his bone headed plays live was much worse than seeing him on the tv. He just doesn't know what to do with the puck EVER. Every time he gets the puck in our end he just dumps it up the boards to the opposition. He has the creative capacities of a ceiling fan.

Who is going to bring this team out of its slump? Giordano can't continue to be both game-maker and breaker. He's gotta settle it down. Give Brodie more room to be offensive and start winning us some games on good D.

I'd also love for a goalie to win us a game at some point.

I really believed having all this veteran depth come back would make us better. we have not been better.

The clips they showed of Treliving and Burke in the third were as demonstrative as I've seen a Flames GM/President in that sort of position. Not happy at specific plays (on the late Flames PP and on a play after that, that resulted in an icing), and not holding back their emotion.

That said, not that they've had a pointed camera up there for that many years, and I've noticed the Snet regional games don't have that camera pointed up there in the Dome anymore;, maybe these guys are like this everygame for all I know...but with those guys both up in arms, you have some hope that they're sufficiently annoyed with the situation.

no chance, the puck had way too much speed for anyone to catch it. Just unlucky can't do anything about those ones.

I watched it again, Raymond was at the top of the circle when it crossed the line. He didn't take a single hard stride to go after it. The puck wasn't moving that fast when you watch the goal cam. I have no doubt it would have been real close if either of them try. Watch the reply, neither one make an attempt, look at the ground Gio covered getting back on the OT goal. I think they could have gotten that.

LOL @ the people saying to trade/waive Colborne, Raymond, and Glencross. You guys realize we are year 2 into the rebuild? These guys are perfect stop gap players for our younger players to develop in the AHL. I don't expect the Flames to make the playoffs, because they're not that good. That's the truth. You can come up with excuses saying they outplayed/outcorsi'ed their opponents the last eight games, but the reality is, they only gathered 1 pointed the last eight. If they don't make the playoffs, great... another high draft pick in a deeeeeeep draft to add to the cupboards. If they make the playoffs, awesome... playoff hockey has always been the goal, and if we reach it earlier than expected, that's awesome too.

People need to put things into perspective and decrease their expectations about this team and just ride the wave. I guarantee you guys will sleep easier at night and not be so angry.
