I'm a little surprised it got done right now. I thought they would wait until the team won again. I was actually wondering if Hartley's job would be on the line if the current losing streak went to 8 or 10.

Very glad with the extension. When the Flames finally do turn the corner and make the playoffs, we will have a cup winning coach leading the charge. Smart move by the Flames to announce in the midst of the low point of the season.

Excellent. I'm going to be completely irrational and superstitious (well maybe not superstitious, but a little stitious) and say that this is what breaks the losing streak and gets them back to winning.
