There's that "accountability" word-drop again.

MacT says "theirs blood on my hands...it's my job to put the roster together"

His head is slightly less far up his ass than first though.

Takes some ownership: "Blood all over my hands too for putting this roster together".

Different message than a week ago.

Indicates that systemic changes might be coming.

Or he's under orders to take a bullet for Lowe now.

MacT can't bring himself to say there's an issue with the core.

Good. Keep them all together. Perfect.

Wow.

So MacT notes that he has accountability and blood on his hands because those are his guys in the room, but once again the cognitive dissonance assures that he'll never look to himself as a problem.

Even better part... MacT will hold the hand of the new interim guy. Great. No need for any new thoughts or viewpoints to come behind the bench. Groom him in your mold, then be satisfied and make him the head coach.

Also, how much of a ridiculous message is it to hire an interim coach that you're going to train on-the-job? Ridiculous. It's simply an overt demonstration that you're once again hiring someone who is not qualified.

So if Nelson is to be head coach, why not just make him that and have MacT as co-coach or assistant right away?

I think I'm more confused now typing out notes to that media conference then I was before.

He gave different answers to the same questions asked by different people.

What a circus they have going on.

They should have asked if MacT considers McDavid as part of the core yet.

Burying his head in the sand.

Fire coaches, bring in fringe players to round out the roster then act shocked the team isn't doing any better. It's ind of incredible to watch.

Without even looking! They totally didnt look at anyone else they just hired the most convenient guy just like they did with MacTavish that got them into this mess in the first place.

Unbelievable!
