Hawks have a lot of D depth, Erixon will get buried there hopefully. From Calgary to NYR to CBJ to Chicago and hes only 23. Not going so good there Tom.

It's amazing that over the past few years the Flames would have had ample room for a player of his abilities on the blue line, which was his concern in the first place.
Have fun being 8th or 9th on the depth chart in Chicago Tom.

Wonder where he'll slot in. It's a good trade for both teams. Morin appears to be a decent goal scorer. Still makes me happy that we got Granlund and Wotherspoon out of our deal, not to mention having Horak available to pry Smid out of Edmonton for defensive depth.

Rundblad and Erixon were once a very strong pairing for Sweden, now reunited in Chicago.
In many ways Erixon's stock rising up to the point where some considered him to be a top 10 pick if he were to re-enter the draft was a blessing in disguise for the Flames. The trade Feaster pulled off at this point in time looks like the return will have more impact on the franchise than Erixon would have had on the Flames.

Any chance he'll be in the lineup tonight? I'd love to see him get steamrolled.

I'm sure he will be. Columbus is not that far from Chicago...
Too bad, Tom, I was hoping you would keep landing in mediocre NHL cities until you finally had enough and went crying back home to daddy.

I'd rather he rot in the craphole that is Columbus. The only place worse to go is Edmonton.

That trade just looks fantastic for the Flames. At this point I would rather have just one of Granlund or Wortherspoon over Tom and we got both.

I dunno. If there's a team in the league that Tom can break out on, it's probably Chicago.
Though the question is his place on the depth chart.

Two 24 year old players, both on their 4th NHL club.

I know I'm going to get grilled for this, but I wouldn't have minded if the flames had traded for Erixon. He would have been an improvement for the bottom pairing. He would have also fit in age wise (24) moving forward.

No grilling and you'd be right if the history wasn't there. But doubt he'd be welcomed in the room after what happened.
