Well, it will be interesting to see how they respond tomorrow after a three game losing streak. Going to be tough, tough, tough.

Good for the Sabres. They show just how much of an embarrassment the team to the north is by coming and playing hard in spite of being at the bottom of the standings. Good hardworking team that fits the city they play in.

Let's move on to tomorrow and see what happens.

brodie had an atrocious game all around. Wonder if gio/brodie, the toronto boys, have a lot of folks in attendance for the leafs/sabres games maybe takes them off their game.

well, the shooting % is coming down, as the annoying stats folks were suggesting would happen, and the losses are quick to follow. This next patch of games are brutal, curious to see how the team comes out after losing 3 straight now.

And the slippery slope get a little more slippery. Six huge games are coming on like a freight train. Flames need to fight for a couple of wins here. That back to back with PITT and CHI are even more ominous now.

Enroth and Ennis stole the show tonight. Goats for me, the D corps. Actually Ramo too. He's playing with too much movement in his game right now, all over the place.

The Flames are showing that they're good (visually and literally), but man they have to learn to put these games to bed.

This one hurts. Flames really needed the 2 points tonight, especially with who we're facing in the final two games of this trip. The offence was there, but the defence was awful and it cost us.

The team defense had a few lapses that cost them, same thing Hartley was talking about a few days ago. They need to get back to basics defensively. Brodie seemed to play worse as the game went on, strange for him. Enroth was great. I thought Colborne looked really good for his first game back. You'd think if you outshoot a team 45-19 you'd win, but it was that kind of night. They're on a 3 game losing streak of which they could have also won all 3 games..........I think they'll bounce back this weekend and buckle down in their own zone.

It wasn't the goalie. You could argue it was the hot goalie and reffing that worked against us when we faced the Sharks and the Leafs, but we were plain sloppy today.

Flames got a lot of shots, but they aren't that dangerous. Overall, Flames looked fairly sloppy when handling the puck, and gave the Sabers some golden chances. I don't think Flames played that good at all, it was a fairly bad game by them; obviously for the defense and goaltending. Ramo didn't bail the defense out when they left a player open in a prime spot.

Could be the road trip that calls off the parade since they have tough challenges tomorrow and Sunday. This month isn't easy on the opponent end either. Christmas will tell if their playoff chances are realistic or not.
So....corsi is no good?

Third straight game the Flames made the opposing goaltender look good but this is what happens when you are in a slump. NHL goaltenders are really good. If you shoot pucks at them they are going to stop them and the Flames for the most part really haven't been making opposing goaltenders make tough saves. They need to get back to being opportunistic and the defensive coverage has to improve as they gifted some really easy goals tonight with poor play.

Tonight's performance wouldn't beat anybody. Not even Edmonton.

Was Ramo as bad as the numbers suggest?

Flames losing games they should be winning. So back-to-back wins against Pittsburgh and Chicago, right?

Judging by the GT we're back to the CP where any badmouthing of the Flames is not allowed.

... even though exactly what I said was happening when everyone was saying "calm down were dominating" is the reason we lost.

^^^^ This.

I hate JG always trying it. Yes, It worked in College and ONCE here. The rest of the time it hits the other side and bounces out. He is a rookie and will learn but you can see after the shift Hartley always goes over and talks to him.

Too many rebounds in this game where there was no one around to capitalize. Defense was pretty poor.
