Hartley really goes with the guys who are performing withint the game. Monahan wasn't great last night - probably his least impressive outting that I can recall.

Raymond was also not great (in fact, not even good) and got bumped down to the 4th line and Ferland moved up. Hartley really likes that kid.

Johnny needs to add a roofer to his arsenal (I imagine he has it but he hasn't used it). He'd have at least 3 more goals and another shootout goal as well.

Sorry for being confusing. Johnny has had a bunch of really good opportunities in tight, and if he'd gotten a good raise in, he would've scored. I have no doubt he has that shot - he just hasn't used it that I can recall. Last night on Bernier I think he had him if he could've gotten the raise in.

Kane has scored a ton on that sort of shot.

I have actually noticed this as well. Some of Johnny's chances would have gone in if he could lift the puck a little more. There are multiple times in the past couple of games where johnny is unable to get the lift to get it over the goalie's pads.

Also agree. You would think that he is capable of roofing a shot in tight and he also needs to shoot more instead of trying for the deek. Im assuming that he notices what is happening and will adjust his game accordingly.

The goalies are probably aware of his preference to try and deek them by now

Can't believe they pulled the goalie twice.

Nothing I hate more than an overly flattering score for a team like the frickin Maple Leafs, who were out hustled and out played for 2/3 of that game.

I think our "lucky" wins early on have evened out with the recent unlucky losses. Let's hope the luck factor regresses to the mean the rest of the trip. Don't need any more bad bounces, and ridiculous goaltending.

We knew this had to eventually happen. I just hope they can stem the tide by winning tomorrow, and taking one of the two games vs PIT and CHI (one can pray).

On a side note.. wow Hiller has terrible rebound control.
