I wonder how they determined that this was the best time for a press conference.

"We've lost 10 in a row, should we address the fans?"

"Nah, way to soon"

MacT should have busted out a

"Hey, I dont know what everyone is complaining about, we have a better record than the Philadelphia 76ers"

I cant imagine what some people must be thinking now. After watching that debacle of a press conference what Bettman or McDavid must be thinking.

This reminds me of a line from Animal House that has to do with how not to go through life.

See this is the sign you're a troll. Nobody at all loves Edmonton. You either hate it, or can tolerate it, but love? Pft....

Yeah I remember that blog, my nephew was having writing and reading issues at the time, so I would make him look at your work so he would feel better about himself.

Thanks to you he realized that he was not that bad.

How there aren't full scale riots in Edmonton right now is beyond me. They've drank so much kool-aid up there it's full on rotted their brains.

Oh well, more fun for us!

Oilers fans wish that their team had the competitive drive that this troll has.

Clearly the trajectory of your hockey writing career since then has mimicked the path of your beloved Oilers.

I really think the NHL needs to step in and move up the draft changes for this year and have the lottery for the top 3 picks. I, like many, think it's unfair that the Oilers get a chance at a good player because they are incompetent.

As funny as that presser was for meaningless quotes, it infuriated me as a hockey fan with the lack of pride and fight in them... they just don't care. They seem content to continue to throw #### against a wall and hope something sticks.

As great as that would be, no team is trading those picks. And we wouldn't want to give up what it wold take to get them anyway.

But yeah, it bugs me the Oil are going to get rewarded for incompetence again. Though, things are biting them in the butt for their team building strategy now, so hopefully something Pronger-esque will happen to them again with their rookies after year one or two. I could see it.

This is the last column and I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to read it and to those who emailed me. I know lots of people enjoyed it (go Oilfans.com/Andrewsstarspage.com), and probably just as many didn't (like everyone at Calgarypuck.com), either way thanks for checking it out.
At least he goes on to pick the Flames in six over Vancouver.

Would love for treliving to troll the oilers by having a press conference today or tomorrow... And use similar answers as MacT only spun in the positive sense to match the team.

You know the Oilers are bad when in the first week of December they have conceded the season and are already in first overall draft party mode. They almost made it to 30 games before the wheels fell off.
