.@Monahan20 scored his 3rd career OT goal (102 GP). Only players w/ more for @NHLFlames: Iginla (6; 1219 GP), Fleury (5; 791), Bure (4; 256)
That's amazing!
So by the time Mono reaches 1219 GP himself, he'll have 36 OT winners... sounds good.
are two very interesting tests for the flames in dec and jan
That second span of games will be the most riveting stretch of the season for me. Canucks, Kings and the Ducks in Anaheim. That'll be this team's measuring stick for what they may or may not be able to do in April.
Regarding the jack Adams, yes I love Hartley too and yes he's been one of the best IMO, but not a lot of love for Laviolette who has Nashville at the top of the west.
Where the hell did the Predators come from? Who can honestly say they expected them above Chicago, St.Louis or Minnesota? Remarkable what is happening for them too.
When we pulled the goalie, there was no doubt in my mind, or in the entire crowd, that we would score to tie.
I haven't felt energy like that in the dome since the '04 run.

And people wants him traded because he is already washed-up...hmmmm...
Good game tonight.I think Colorado is fast but Calgary is faster and more determined. I thought Ferland was flying tonight but just didn't have the luck to score. That Byron-Granlund-Ferland line was fun to watch. Brodie, i wish I can skate half as well as this guy. He is such smooth skater and very quick. The only thing I don't like when he is leading the rush is him not trying to shoot more but I am a big fan of this guy. Him and Gio seems to know where the other person is. Russell had some ups and down tonight but I thought he played well. That 2-on-1 rush and a goal by Matt Duchesne I thought he played his man very well but Duchesne was too quick for even one of our faster skater Hudler to catch. I don't think I can blame anyone on that goal. Wideman threw a pass that was intercepted by Duchesne. It looks like Jonas Hiller will have to watch the next game from the bench again, Ramo doesn't seem to let go of the rein. Awesome win again. I love this team.
The opening of the overtime says everything you need to know about this team. They don't care about losing, they probably don't talk about it much. Players are allowed to make mistakes, defense are allowed to take chances and when the game was sudden death they played like a team driven to win. It was like watching 4 guys forcing the puck in with the power of will.
Byron started the first 5 seconds with a breakaway on a faceoff the Flames lost. They don't care about losing, they will themselves into winning. However Bob Hartley has managed this he needs to bottle it and save it for some darker days, rarely will you see a team perform like this.
