Exactly! She was asked for nudes. You know what your response can be? Delete the request and block the user. Report him to Facebook if you need to. She continued to engage in conversation with him. Her discussions with him were over a internet platform where you can block and delete things you don't want to see. This wasn't person to person. She had the control to make it stop if she was uncomfortable and chose not to.
Hell, you can look in this thread for the proper way to deal with that type of response as a women. Nik made a comment (jokingly probably) and I just ignored it and moved on. Or is the proper thing to do to go screaming to the mods to save me because I'm a damsel in distress?

1. You shouldn't hit on women from a professional twitter account.
2. There are very many non offensive ways to hit on a woman. "Show me your front meat!" is not one of them.

But she should just take it as a compliment!

She did not continue to engage in discussion with him. She stated as much on her twitter account.

No doubt in my mind. It's unprofessional and inappropriate.
That being said, I find nothing about this particular woman beyond reproach. Sexism and harassment has to be approached on a case by case basis, rather than a blanket approach.
Dater needs help, as he stated himself, and his actions should be scrutinized. It doesn't absolve the other party of any scrutiny whatsoever.

In fairness she doesn't know that. She doesn't get to see the facial expressions or the body language of the person making those comments.

@CFF I agree 100%. If my posts are coming off as trying to absolve anyone in this situation of any blame then I am clearly failing in communication. That's not my intent. If I am misreading things, then I am more than willing to acknowledge that as well.

1) Your twitter picture is extremely disturbing. Consider seeking help.
2) She should then therefore never be offended receiving a sexually suggestive tweet (I hate that I just wrote that sentence). Not sure she made a problem for Dater, but if she did she's a hypocrite.
3) Dater is not beyond reproach. He should have consequence for his actions as he should be able to rise above the situation presented to him.

Not a problem, just having a bit of a back-and-forth. Continue...

Fair enough, anyway, I do hope that Dater gets the help he needs in order to resolve any issues he may be experiencing.

One thing to keep in mind is that these messages from Dater are a year old and in some of the conversations she had a different avatar than the "cleavage" avatar she is using now

I, for one, am completely shocked this thread degenerated into victim-blaming.
