Us coaches need to remind ourselves that the strong goalie needs goalie drill time as well as the weak one.

BTW, do you have any links to goalie flexibility information/stretching routines. My 8 yr old wants to "stretch it out dad".
Some links here:

Ignore the ghetto production quality but this lady has some goalie-specific stretches and exercises. The foam roller is now my best friend:

For the OP, decent sizing guides with videos can be found here: http://www.puregoalie.com/guidance/e...923.1417478265

And just so it doesn't get missed, this also used to be just a download link for a goalie training manual written by a former Leafs goalie coach, but it looks like you have to give your email now (it's still a pretty good, lengthy and free guide): http://www.futurepro.com/documents/request.html

Also, don't buy gear in Calgary. Crazy expensive although with The Goalie Shop closed things have gotten better. With the information available online and ability to simply call better retailers across Canada, you can fit yourself and/or your child accurately. And don't cheap out on a helmet.

ohhh also, if your looking for something custom in a decent price range check out this site ... they have good quality gear at a cheaper price rather than some of the top name brands. Actually Kim St Pierre ( NWHL Goalie ) wears this brand

hate to steal someones thread but does anybody know if the Salming ProTech Pro Floorball Goalie Jersey will work if I used it against a Floor Hockey ball and not a Whiffle Ball? I do have two different sets of goalie equipment for both Ice and Floor but if I can lighten the load when playing floor hockey it would be awesome.

Just try it a find out.... if it hurts.... gear up. The chest protector also adds girth to your stance..... looks like even if the shirt works..... not covering a lot of the net.
Good luck with that.
