Only thing I dislike about Smashburger is their form-fitting plastic containers that you have to wrestle the burger out of. I guess it keeps the burger safe though.

I prefer 5 Guys as well but Smashburger is still pretty good. Their fries with Rosemary in particular are very good. I have never tried Fatburger as there just aren't any in areas I frequent. I will say all these burger places are pretty pricey as you are paying essentially restaurant pricing for a family meal.

I usually don't got out of my way to get a Burger, I usually hit up fast food in the +15s at lunch when I need a fix.
Wendy's pulled pork commercials with Stone Cold Austin are absolutely terrible (oh woe be Canadians [Torontonians] who can't get real BBQ, "Calgary is too far away" - they actually say this in the commercial, etc.). And yet, I'm having a pulled pork burger from Wendy's in Calgary.
I had the pulled pork with slaw on brioche and it was quite tasty. I requested spicy sauce and combo'd it with a Frosty which I haven't had in ages. I'm very satisfied. This may be my go to burger for awhile since it's different enough from the standard hamburger, fries, and pop affair to be worth the $8.

Did you mean Boardwalk on Heritage Dr?
Google shows nothing of this "BLVD" place.

I have tried Boulevard, thought it was alright.
I think with rings and a shake it was around $16 for lunch

The smoky cow from holy chuck burgers in Toronto is not just the best burger I've ever had, it was one of the best things I've ever eaten period.

Do you live in Toronto? We went to Burger Priest when I was visiting there in May, and while it was good, I'm not sure it was worthy of the best burger in Toronto title. Ever tried that one?

I agree, Burger Priest is good, but there are better places in Toronto. Part of the appeal is the "secret menu" they have. To be fair though, when done right, their burger patties are remarkably juicy.

So, I decided to try this place today at lunch and try the avocado bacon burger with a single patty, and fries. I can't say I was terribly impressed with either the burger or the fries. The patty on the burger lacked seasoning, and was pretty dry. The fries were okay, but nothing special. Probably wouldn't go here again.

The battle of the burgers: the winners
http://calgaryherald.com/life/food/t...rs-the-winners
Over the last several weeks, I’ve tasted numerous combinations of beef, cheese and special sauce. There have been humble offerings, gourmet versions and everything in between. There were burgers served on fine china and others nestled into plastic baskets. Among them were innumerable that made my stomach sing with praise for beef patties on a bun.
But battles can only have one winner. And I’m declaring mine: Naina’s Kitchen.
The burger battle wasn’t just about my choices, though. Readers who voted in our online polls over the five days had their own opinions.
And, so, in this battle, there is another winner. Claiming 606 votes and the highest popular vote at 61.34 per cent is Boogie’s Burgers.
