I wonder aboiut their decision to leave the hospital. I get that it would be bad TV, but I wonder if it is a good decision.

I always wondered how the WD zombies can walk up stairs without falling on their face. After a few beers I have issues, not sure how the dead manage.

The one great, subtle thing from this last episode was Rick saying "Can't go back, Bob," to the cop.

you mean it wasn't when Rick said "Shut up..." to the cop's broken corpse?

It's best not to think about stuff like this, the writing in this show is so sloppy 90% of the time.

^^ I used to keep pointing this sort of stuff out to my wife while watching, but she'd get mad and tell me how much of a pessimist I am, just watch the show bla bla bla...
So now I just chuckle on the inside and roll with the punches.

The way Officer Bob went flying forward like a yoga ball after Rick drove into him was my Walking Dead physics treat of the night.

I noticed that yesterday too. Those guys would have seen two huge guns pointed at them from down below really fast. Major writing/directing error.

phew, I thought I might have been the only one that went nuts at that......
Also, "breaks" Bob's back when hitting him with the car and Carol walks out of the hospital aftr getting hit at the knee level by a car (both hit appeared hard).
I have learnt to overlook this stuff, you have to really, otherwise you head would explode........

Ya but if you were Carol, you could just bandage that sh*% up and be good to go!
She went from out cold, to opening her eyes, to being wheeled around, to walking out of the hospital in what was I'm pretty sure a couple hours. She's probably running the Boston Marathon by now.

How do the zombies avoid being eaten by packs of wild dogs has always confounded me, also why all the cannabalism when there would be deer, rabbits, rats etc by the ton, given the choice I'd eat a rat over a person.
In reality the zombies would have been consumed by wildlife about 6 months in at most, it would be the raccoons and dogs with a taste for human flesh you'd have to worry about.

I don't know about that.
Why on earth would dogs be interested in eating rotting meat that would also try to eat them?
Seems to me there are a lot easier ways to get a meal than to try to go after something that, if you're a dog, you can't really kill, and will start chewing on you as soon as you bite into it.

Dogs love rotting questionable meat, and dogs, once the free bowl of alpo twice daily is gone, will pack up and start hunting, slow shuffling sacks of meat would seem the easiest meal out there.

I know they have to move the storylines along but this season in particularly, they have done a very poor job developing the antagonists.
They've been introduced very quickly and just as hastily dispatched. Their backgrounds aren't explained enough for us to really understand their motives or develop any feelings toward them one way or another (other than some disgusts at the cannibals for obvious reasons).

I didn't not like Beth, so I was kind of bummed.
Sunday night, once again, reinforced what I already know: social media and television spoilers just don't mix, even with all the filters and all the precautions one takes, something will get through. In this case I was spoiled about Beth dying 10 minutes before even beginning the episode, which really killed the shock factor.
Know I know how you Game of Thrones people feel in the other thread (I've read that series.)
Anyway, that's the world we live in.

I for one didn't mind the hospital storyline. However, one thing I do have an issue with is that, as others have mentioned, they don't develop these people enough and allow the viewer to invest anything into the characters or their situation.
I would have loved some additional fleshing out of this story, but given the clusterfata that was the politics/backstory of just what the hell was going on in there maybe the writers had pigeonholed themselves. I appreciated the ambiguity regarding motives and good/evil, but it kind of felt more confusing than anything else.
I'm still curious to know more about these people, why they have arranged things the way they have, the hint of slavery angle, the distrust and power...all of it. Moreover, why didn't any of the wards decide to walk out with Rick and the group? Especially after hearing repeatedly how they all would? Did the episode just cut short to focus on the impact of Beth's death?
In regards to Beth's death: Wow, total jaw dropper. Didn't see it coming at all. Norman Reedus really nailed that whole sequence.

For a one hour drama the Walking Dead has some of the least developed characters on TV. Everyone is fairly one dimensional, no real substance. The writing do a horrid job of developing a character once they are introduced.

Isn't that why the show is so popular? It's a highly entertaining show that you don't have to think a whole lot about. In fact, the show is better when you don't try and think about it.

I was kind of hoping the lady cop and Beth were going to get it on.
