I liked the teaser. I laughed at the speeder bike the thing looks like a giant engine with a seat on it, must go like a bat outta hell or be the equivellent of a ride on mower; big but not that fast.
I am not sure what to think of the light sabre, I think it is cool in that the smaller blades look like a cross guard which makes the whole weapon have a claymore look. But I also think that the little blades make it more dangerous to the user, I will have to see if it grows on me.
My favorite sabre is Count Dooku's and I hope we see more like that in the future.

I'm guessing it's closer to lawnmower. The big front is probably more about storage than engine considering the size of the rest of it. Water tank, perhaps, given that it's a desert?. Maybe that's how they transport what they pick up from moisture vaporators for sale in town.

My guess is the sabre is supposed to be a metaphor for evil, similar to an upside down across. It's often associated with satanism and evil, my first reaction was that it was an upside down cross.
Well, lots of franchises have 'reboots' or go back on things they've said and done.
I've found that its usually beneficial to just pretend something never happened than to try and explain how you fixed it.
Couldn't agree more. Darth Vader is dead, Palpatine is dead. No need to explain anything about them.
They've got stormtroopers, Luke, Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, the universe, lightsabers, speeders and whatnot. Make a good story with the characters and the setting, don't try to erase mistakes, just make a good movie and ignore the mistakes from before.
Of course the Rebels were too busy committing war atrocities such as murdering millions of civillian contractors on the second peace star and using peacekeeping stormtroopers helmets as bongo drums to care.
Yeah well countless bothans died to get the secrets of the second peace star, millions and perhaps billions of Ewoks were provoked into a slaughter by the Rebels lead by the criminal fugitive Leia Organa and fugitive Jedi Luke Skywalker.
Justice for Endor.

The “get used to it” is a subtle takedown to those who felt the need to make racist comments about Boyega’s leading role or his placement as a Stormtrooper based on the assumption that all Stormtroopers are white. Kriston Capps broke down the inaccuracy — and inherent prejudice — of those viewpoints in an op-ed for The Atlantic.
