That block by Monahan just epitomized the culture Hartley has instilled. 3-0 up halfway through the third, and the 6th overall pick from a year ago is happy to take a shot for the team. Love it.

Things are going to start getting dirty. This is where we need an enforcer.

Excuse me? Score effects due to trailing so often in the 3rd? Research much? <fail>

The thing about Hartley- he's loyal to the most important thing- which is heart. He is not loyal to tenured players with crappy attitudes- he wants his players to play with synergy- with respect and trust for each other- he knows this is the key to winning and he is a 'true coach'- meaning he coaches the values before the skill. They all have the skill- now they all have the heart. This team is going to go far this year. And Hartley- well, he has a lot to do with it.

I'd really like to see Sven get some ice with more offensive linemates. He's playing well, but it's hard to score with Bollig and Bouma on your line.

And now the Flames have to convince Johnson that they are for real. Always a skeptic in every broadcast to generate conversation.

Did anyone notice Granlund go on the forecheck there, then when the Yotes got the puck back and skated it into the nuetral zone he ROCKETED to get a stick check in at the end of his shift, then went off.

Absolutely exceptional.
