The game has sped up a lot since he was calling a regular NHL game in 2000 or so.

This thing with the net is so awkward.

I don't think he will. Arizona was able to maintain momentum with a garbage call. Should have been a Flames PP.

It's amazing how good Romanuk is after being away so long. A real treat to listen to.

Yeah, quite cringey. What does it add, really? Can they not come up with a better way to demonstrate plays?

Are we re-enacting goals on a slab of marble during intermission on HNIC?
Awkward.

I keep thinking I'm watching the Spengler Cup every time he calls a game.

Personally, I am good with the replay.
I'd rather watch Kerr read 'The Raven' in a smoking jacket..
wait...

Since Hudler got hurt, the Flames have had little offensive zone time. I think he (jg was on the bench that entire time too) played one shift after, but the Flames other lines didn't maint an the momentum.

Really? He mixed up Bouma and Brodie, among others who had the puck, didn't identify that it was Gaudreau on the breakaway, seems to be a bit behind and miss some things, and leaves a fair bit of dead air as it seems he's trying to catch up.
Johnson is good, but prefer Ball to Romanuk by a long shot.

Who the hell has dubbed Brodie as the modern day Scott Niedermayer?
God dammit, Scott Oake

TSN did it last year for the first time in a long time, if I recall correctly.

I like his expressions.
"So and so is gallivanting into the zone"
"Swatting wasps"

Who in their right mind compared Brodie to Neidermeyer? Scott Oake? Smoke another J man. Brodie is awesome but not Neidermeyer level of awesome.

The phrase "modern day Scott Neidermayer" makes me feel really, really old.
