I'm ascending around level 1600 these days with about 50-60K HS each time.

How many Hero Souls do you have? Which ancients?

Siyalatis, Mammon and Morgulis were big ones for me to start getting into the deeper levels, especially since most of my time I'm idle.

Maxing Vaagur is huge because then you can do the 10% DPS buff every 30 minutes.

After that I maxed Dogcog and now I'm chipping away at the Ancients that give extra primal boss spawn chance and HS count per primal boss and Libertas.

If I was you, I'd ascend a few times quickly, unless you have access to a couple of these ancients now, after gaining a few dozen HS's each run, until you can buy several levels in some of these good ancients.

I'm probably going to stop dumping so much into Morgulis now... and focus on Siyalatas and Mammon

I am stopped dead just before 2400. I want that achievement before cashing my 100,000 HS... but not sure I can get there.
Not sure where to dump the HS either.
I may quit this crap

I haven't done anything with them... I didn't know you could (just thought they were randomly assigned).

Ah, no worries. If you shuffle some of them onto the newer heroes, you should be able to get over that hump. And if you're getting 100K hero souls at level 2400, spend some souls on Solomon. I'm getting 100K souls when I ascend at 2000-2050, which is a full 70-80 fewer primal bosses.
