Not sure where you heard that, and I haven't really toyed around with my off-spec other than to have it heroic attuned (it is arms).
Anecdotally: As far as Warrior DPS goes from groups I've been in, both pug and guild, Fury is BY FAR the worst of the three. I'm talking a 2.5k DPS drop from the best Fury Warrior in my guild to the best Arms Warrior.
I said it earlier in the thread, but Fury has been a joke since Vanilla.

For your edit: It's the spiders that are doing it. Focus two dps on one, and the third dps (with a decent interrupt) on the second. The spell they are looking to interrupt is "Deathvenom". Interrupt that, and the fight is much, much easier.

You could always sleep through trash. Just have to sleep walk sometimes.
We know it's the spiders. We don't care. It's fun to #### with healers, especially when it's already hard for them.

I'd be grateful. I'll make sure I've read up on gearing to be prepared to target the dungeon that gives me the most chance for upgrades.
I should have enough cloth to make myself an upgrade to get to 615 to run heroics.

610 for Heroics. 615 for MC. 630 for challenge modes (not a requirement, more of a guideline). Not sure what the Raid requirement is yet, mostly cause I'm lazy.

I play a fury warrior because I like the playstyle, but I feel it has rotation issues at this gear level.
What makes Arms bad is not its DPS, but the gaps in its rotation. It has dead GCDs where you can't do anything due to lack of filler spells.
The Simulations have the following results for warriors:
Single Target: Gladiator does the highest DPS, then arms, then fury
Multitarget: Arms/Fury do more than Glad.
Fury is low on all the Charts right now, but I haven't been excluded from a group yet because of it. I will probably take prot for a whirl again soon just to get the queue times down. I haven't tanked since WotLK though.

UBRS Challenge Mode can go straight to hell. How about that?

True, except for two end of expansion windows of time. End of BC (BT/Sunwell) dual warglaive fury was very strong. And end of ICC Titan's Grip fury with a shadowmourne could do great dps.
So basically fury needed legendaries to be great!

It wasn't "very strong" in comparison to Rogues with the Warglaives. And Titan's Grip was the gimmick. I loved it, but I'd still take a Rogue or Ret Paladin for a melee DPS.

IIRC our rogues were doing around 2200-2400 in Sunwell and our Fury War was doing around 2100. The heroic strike spam was real!

On a side note, it still bugs me that Illidan wasn't the final encounter in BC. They cheapened anything they do with KJ going forward with that one.
"I kicked his ass in gear half as good."

Well I'm 100 ... this seems like the fastest curve to cap of any expansion so far.
